Thanks for this reaction. :) To explain a little bit about the background of Mic Drop, now BTS is the biggest boy band in the world. But they started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves. It's a song for their haters. :) The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope, the main dancer and dance leader of BTS. And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :) If you're interested in their live performances, just check this out. [BANGTAN BOMB] 2017 MAMA Mic Drop. (BTS focus) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ3SfqSBlN57nJo It's not an official MAMA video broadcast on TV, but a full-cam taken by Big Hit. I recommend this because the camera work on official MAMA is so messed up. In this performance, Mic Drop was their 4th song, so the members were exhausted and held on with their mental strength only. And, there were even three dance breaks at this time. I can feel all of them Even if I die, I will die on stage. The energy is crazy! And BTS Mic Drop remix Jimmy Kimmel Live is great too. :) Oh, there is another song BTS worked on with Steve Aoki. The Truth Untold is a completely different song from Mic Drop. :)

Loving your reaction to this watered down version of Mic Drop. The live versions are even better done on stage and at award shows with a live band with a heavy bass and 2 extra dance breaks in it. It was my introduction to BTS and until then I wasn't into hiphop or rap. These lads are amazing, talented, intelligent and humble people. There are a few different versions of this. The original is entirely in Korean, then there is a version of the original that has an opening by Designer, and then this version, the Steve Aoki remix. There are also live performances where they added in 1, 2, or 3 dance breaks that are KILLER. There are so many BTS contents. If you want the journey I suggest starting from the beginning and mix in some documentaries explaining about BTS. Their debut song No More Dreams and work upwards. You will see the progression and changes. All the documentaries are great, The Rise of Bangtan, documentaries by X Celest, American Hustle Life, A Guide to BTS: Bangtan 7, Most Beautiful Moment and more. I suggest Bangtan 7 by Taylor Nakamoto because it was updated in 2022. I enjoyed your reaction and thank you for your appreciation for BTS.

New subscriber here and I am Army to the bone lol. I would enjoy watching you go down the BTS rabbit hole. I think you would really like older BTS songs No More Dream, Danger, We Are Bulletproof pt2, Not Today, and Baepsae. As well as some of their solo work.
