Nah, the guy might be playing at 50% capacity. But as soon as they put him on another line he produces a bit. He also plays defence well diving after pucks and blocking, husteling back. They have to give him som linemates that tries a bit harder.

Petey needs a better supporting cast, I'd move Joshua and Lindholm up with Petey and let Garland play with Bleuger and Hoglander. Garland will set up whoever is on the ice with him, roll the 4th line when the top three lines are gassed,

a good player elevates the play of his team mates. when a good player isn't trying, it trickles down to the rest of the team. pettersson seems to be unhappy, possibly because he doesn't like his line mates. but when he's on the PP with good players his game is no better than it is 5 on 5.

There can be no passengers on the bus to overall team success. Everyone needs to contribute in some shape or form; otherwise bring players into the lineup who will play with passion, IQ, and urgency. If Silovs can rise up to the challenge, then I am sure that Micheyev, Lafferty, Cole, Amman, and Petterson should be able to as well. After all, the regular season is played to get to the big-time games in the playoffs and we need more big-time players rising to the challenge. Yes, I agree, Cole needs to sit a game. Defense is a thankless game; however, Cole does need to contemplate why so many goals are deflecting off him in particular into our own net.

Do NOT reunite the Lotto line. It would be the dumbest thing Tocchet could do. I'd drop Mikheyev and Lafferty, bring in Podkolzin and Lekermakki, put Lekermakki together with Petey and Lindholm, leave the top line alone, put Blueger back with Joshua and Garland and drop Karlsson for Hogland on the 4th line with Pods filling in the other 4th line slot. On the D, I'd love to not see Cole for a game, sit him for Soucy and keep Juulsen in the lineup.

Honestly, when there were rumours of him going to Carolina I thought that would be a great fit. If he's going to flourish (again) at Vancouver, Tochett has to accept him for what he is .

@@staffan144 So what , how many haven’t won the Smythe . Regarding the Canucks Swedes going back to Gradin , Naslund , Sedins most were no shows when the going gets tough in the playoffs . Look at Sedin just allowing himself to be a punching bag for Marchand in 2011 ; no man with any courage would put up with that . They come out of the Swedish leagues that play far fewer games . Sure , some have the jam for an extended “ productive “ post season but far too many do not .
