When I used to primarily target LMB I hardly ever used spinning gear. Now I’m primarily a inshore saltwater guy and use it exclusively. Craziest hookset i’ve ever seen! I watch him in every tournament and I’ve never seen him break one off! I’ve seen some get off, but I don’t recall him breaking one off at all. I’m with you tho… If I set a hook like that, I’d end up in the water with a broken rod and a red face.
