I was fishing today,and no lie it was like a summer peg,feeding two mils in the edge and a F1 every chuck with the odd carp,five different people on the pool,bloke come over to me,and his first words was alright mate am you sponsored? I said I wished mate why you say that? He goes because nobody else has caught a fish. I felt like a superstar lol.

I think this has got some traction. Obviously it's not going to be for everyone. But i like it. Also the odds could see it that a field of average anglers could end up fishing the final. Ive been waiting for something similar to in the mix since I got back into fishing after covid.

Only way to find best angler. 48hrs say at paradise, 50 of the best cross all platform's, biggest carp 50 point smallest 1 point cross all species. They did it once at Great Linford lakes

what happens if you were one of those who bought 150 tickets at midnight and you get drawn first then 2nd then 3rd then 4th and another did the same and he or she got drawn 3-4 times because by the look of it there is probably just over 100 anglers with a 1 in 5 chance of being drawn or is the draw just going to keep going until 20 individual anglers get drawn so your either going to need a lot of pop corn if you managed to buy 1 ticket or some red bull because it could take atleast over 100 draws

This may give a chance to the working man hopefully it may give the right person a chance to be in the light to get brand deals and to even show what they are made of not everyone has 5 days a week to fish and get all the free bait in the world but this may give some normal people a chance may even see some methods win that haven’t seen the light of day in decades

I think it’s a great concept. Each to their own but I don’t agree with the comment of thinking it’s a good idea to put a grand on. At the end of the day it’s still gambling and that’s a lot of money for most.

They are putting a cap on the max number of tickets, so they won’t be able to get that many. But they’ve got the same chance of anyone else, you can’t start banning people from a competition just because they are good.
