Great podcast guys Nick Speed is an incredible match angler, I've had the pleasure of having some coaching from Nick he really opened my eyes and improved my way of thinking when entering matches and its paid of. Having that confidence and patience is an asset to any angler.

Brilliant insight into the extra "one percent" totally agree you eventually have to say to someone "you fished that brilliant and my decisions weren't as good as yours". A lot of anglers play at it and still expect to be as good as the ones that commit 100%.... So well done guys this is exactly what sets you apart and why your serial winners 👍

Totally Agree Jamie with your comments on anglers making excuses for not fishing well I am a great learner and I watch anglers who have more experience than me but it makes me better I know this from coming back in to matching fishing after 20 years its changed so much predominantly I fish for carp and was very successful so watching the likes of you Andy Nick Jon Arthur Des Shipp my match fishing as excelled so thanks to you all

Wow, that has really helped with the clarity / focus on the match fishing mindset. I’m one of those ‘lets try something different’ anglers sometimes. Not anymore. Patience and skill wins the day by the sounds of it.

Fantastic Podcast :), really great to hear a different perspective from another angler and how that 1% makes all the difference. I've got back into fishing over the last 3 years and learnt so much from Winning Ways because it's taught me how fishing has evolved compared to how I used to fish especially as a pleasure angler. Thanks to you all keep up the good work :)

It was great to see Timmy on with you sorry Nick 😘 I totally agree with everything you both said,I would say though, that matches are harder to win nowadays as there aren’t many that don’t know what they’re are doing,whether you fish commercial,naturals or just feeder matches on both. As you get older like me,62 now with a few health problems,you have to adjust your fishing to still be able to compete,as I’m never going to compete with a younger fit angler fishing up in the water all day. Great video lads 👍🎣

i think what makes a better angler is not just doing something that goes right, but understanding why it worked.
@AlexWalkerFishing2 жыл бұрын
Really interesting watch that. And I agree with Nick and Jamie with what they say. But there ARE always outside influences within our sport. The best angler doesn't and cannot always win. It's not like golf or darts. Belief and mindset is however a huge part of consistency, but one angler cannot win everytime and that's because of outside influences. Best video I've watched in a long time lads 👍
