Sylka Faya is definitely going to be a challenge for her owner and drive her mother crazy!!! This is what makes Yvonne’s channel such a great joy to watch!!! Gertie looked like she was got when they were racing toward her. It must have been scary. All the videos I have watched there have been very few foals that don’t immediately love Yvonne. Sylkie 😊is one of them. Watching she and her Mem run is a beautiful sight.

Sylke Faya is definitely going to be the alpha mare in any herd; you see her strong independence already. She is quite happy to temporarily leave Mum and ignore you. it never changes, the foals are like any other baby: everything always goes into their mouth first. they must taste it all! I grew up with Quarter Horses and hunters in the USA and our mares and foals were just the same: if they could make mischief they would! also! don’t mind a little wire like that one of our foals once jumped over a 1.5 meters tall steel gate and her mother was terrified, it was a situation for sure, we had a two week old filly running through our garden with mama yelling about it in the pasture and catching the foals is quite a job, they’re so fast.

We had a TN walker and a Hunter when I was a kid. The walker was always getting into something! She was about 1-2 at the time. Can't remember. One time she got her front half over a fence and her back end was still behind the fence lol! I don't even remember how my parents fixed that problem haha.

No surprise there :-D Friesian Stables is trying to breed out genetic defects in the Friesian lineage, so maybe they are picking up some thoroughbred genetics. Lol! too funny, veritas!

​@@LindaEll89 This really makes sense now. Sylke Faya runs like a thoroughbred and I love the races, too. So the Royal Dutch warmblood was a farm breed for pulling the plow. The Groninger Warmblood was then crossbred with the thoroughbred to create a sleeker, elegant conformation. And on top of this, there are 2 Groningers, the North and East, with thoroughbred genetics. Sorry to repeat this, but by typing it for my mindset, I can comprehend the complexity better. My dad knew all this breeding business, so just trying to learn. I do so love OTTB horses, even though they don't have the massive Friesian wiggle hips that are gorgeous. When they trot like Pjirkje in this video today, I can literally feel the ground vibrating under her feet. Yvonne played it back, and I said, this is Super Wow! Maybe Pjirkje learned the moves from the Queen of the Friesians, whom she always accompanied in the meadow. The Danes just bought 2 Ster horses. Like I always say, Rein has a top-of-the-line rep in his breeding for certain traits.

@@LindaEll89 Yeah, I believe it, just like Sjor ridden by Elianne. Bastian mentioned those regions before. The drafts are the gentle giants, but being a "slender-build" human, they tower over me. I saw an equestrian mount a huge draft horse, and he was so big, that her legs in the stirrups were very high up. And she was a kid. She handled him with loose reins. Will do more research on the Dutch warmblood lineage. I do really like the draft-horse conformation even with their massive heads. The Friesians are the elegant, wiggle-rump drafts. Pjirkje trotting in this video today was a remarkable experience. She is all that! The bay color is beautiful. The chestnut warmbloods are beautiful, as well. Maybe we'll get to see you, Hennie Floor, and Gerrina van de Graf, get in the saddle and ride with Yvonne July 10? Good outreach for the Channel, and I bet subscribers will increase exponentially.

Wow...Sylke is just 3 weeks old here, and Pjirkje in full speed gallops to chase her down. I thought Sanne was speedy, but Sylke has 2 gears...Fast and Turbo 🚀

@@LindaEll89 Indeed Xena. Let's see. We will have left two filly foals and two colts. Will be interesting to see if gender bonding goes on in the pasture. Frieda foal so late, she will end up being the nanny to the weaned foals like Reintje last year.

Sylke Faya is definitely a sweetheart and I sure wish she was going to be around to see her grow up. She's going to be a handful for somebody.

It's always surprising how much care and attention is taken Its not as simple as one thinks Sorry for your trouble but I love that she is challenging & defies the norms it would be interesting to know if she continues to be like this while she grows up Sylke gets excited when Pjirkje takes off Yes mom! We're really going fast now! And Sanne really speeds around So much fun! 🐎🥰
