I truly do wonder if certain Star Wars fans out there know that Episode 13 of Season 6 of the Clone Wars exists. Yoda straight up had visions and an event occur where he saw Anakin behead Dooku and he fought Sidious. How that information doesn’t get passed down to anyone is beyond me. Yoda is a very flawed and secretive character why anyone would think that he is the opposite makes no sense.

@jeremyk.64565 ай бұрын
Well I think a bunch of this ties into the visions he went through with the force priestesses where he had to learn to let go of the Jedi Order because it had fallen from what it was meant to be as they failed at many different crossroads where they could’ve done what they’re intended to do at the core of their religion. Yoda was to survive so that he could train Luke the one to bring balance (or aid Vader/Anakin to come back to the light side to destroy the Sith). The only thing that it does bring question is why Yoda was so apprehensive against training Luke on Degobah. Yoda learned during those force visions that he has to be willing to let it all be destroyed even with the duel with Sidious in the last vision he had to be willing to let himself die to save Anakin so that he could turn to destroy the Jedi and eventually the Sith before coming back to the light side because of his sons love. Don’t get me wrong the identity politics that disneys been pushing is quite annoying and it would be nice if they’d stop trying to push real world identity politics and focus on trying to make a good story that actually has continuity through the story along with good character arcs so that we all can get behind the story. The best piece of product that Disney has put out was Rogue One and the series tied into it Andor because it had good character arcs that actually added to the entire Star Wars storyline in a positive way.

Windu, in contrast- would have Slain Yoda without mercy, had he known- The Grandmaster would have told Mace, just enough- to not raise Suspicion . . . . . . irrespective- Darth Plagious, Darth Sidious . . . would have considered Grandmaster Yoda- to be their greatest Ally . . . an ex-Sith Lord, running the Jedi Order . . . heh- no wonder Sidious called Yoda, his "Little Green Friend"- I don't think, that phrase was spoken, totally in Mockery . . . but, in partial recognition- for Yoda's crucial contribution to The Sith Grand Plan . . . . . . only after Order 66- would Yoda face the consequences, of his actions Centuries before . . . for his very presence, amongst the Leadership of the Jedi- Doomed them ultimately, to total Destruction . . . . . . what a tragic Burden to bear . . . so many loved ones, slaughtered despite your own abjurement of The Dark Side . . . if true- it would put Yoda alongside Vader himself, as one of Star Wars most complicated figures . . .

Here’s the key takeaway of this: we *don’t* know what the _immediate outcome_ of this conversation is. Would Master Vernestra confide with Master Yoda with the truth about the events in question; her coverup of a coverup conspiracy; and/or inform him about her former pupil staying alive? For anyone that says otherwise, then please post a video of the extended cut of that scene and share with us the transcript of said conversation (not happening). Besides, this plays with the whole Ki-Adi Mundi “conspiracy” (not the age one, the “lack of knowledge of the Sith”). No one from the strike team (the one sent to prevent Mae from killing Kelnacca), including Sol, survived long enough to get the word out about the “Sith” return. Not to mention that Mae’s memory has been tempered with so the odds of Sith discovery is slim to none. And for those that claimed that this “breaks lore”, in Legends (around a similar timeframe), a Dark Jedi informed Yoda about the Rule of Two, so a similar scenario would take place in the foreseeable future

He had to know since the presumption of the sith extinction for a millinia would pre-date Yoda's birth. So he either learned the rule of two in a vision or he's talking to the sith.
@arianah94725 ай бұрын
Kibh Jeen became a Dark Jedi. He went mad. I believe he learned about the Rule of 2 from Darth Rivan. When the Jedi confronted Jeen he rambled to the Jedi about the Rule of 2. They didn't believe him initially but later considered it to be true. So Yoda learned of the Rule of 2 from that story.

Idk why Star Wars fans act like Yoda isn’t the same guy who found out the Clone Army was commissioned by the enemy and was like “welp I guess we gotta keep it a secret now and see how things play out”
@Onio_3625 ай бұрын
Because at that point, it was too late to do something about it, and the Jedi didn't have any other options. This situation is the exact opposite. That's why it makes no sense😂

Doesn't the discovery also directly tie into the arc where Yoda learns about transcendence from the Priestesses, where they show him the future of what will become of the order? I've heard it explained that those two arcs are tied so closely together that Yoda's arc may have happened first, and that he already knew of the impending Order 66, and had to let it play out. For multiple decades leading up to 66, jedi youth had slowly shifted into thought processes and ideologies that strayed form the ways that Yoda and other older masters had been taught and teaching, and that was exacerbated by the war as well. Yoda had learned of what was to come before the downfall, and was told by the Priestesses not to mention it, if I recall correctly? Or, he made the decision not to tell them because it was too late, etc. There's a lot more open theory on that, but at least Yoda's take on your issue is much more explainable than the information from this show being sat on for about 85 years and then not being remembered in TPM.

To be fair we don’t see what she tells Yoda, I assume she says the same to him as she did to the senate. Mae’s current condition is what I think Vernestra was talking to Yoda about, and not what really happened with the Brendok 4. I doubt they will let her train Mae, but maybe she can convince Yoda to let her take on a civilian job within the order (like Bazil the tracker) going forward.

I suspect Vonestra Rwoh holds one of two positions of leadership within the Jedi Order. One is leader of the Jedi High Council. One is leader of the Jedi Order. Master Yoda is leader of the High Council. Because Vonestra Rwoh represented and spoke for the Jedi Order before the Chancellor, I suspect that she was leader of the Jedi Order. During the Prequels, Master Windu was briefly leader of the Jedi Order until the Clone War began, which is when he became General of the entire Grand Army of Republic. Yoda held both titles of leadership.

7:50 "They only stay paragons of the Light Side when you don't peek under the robe." -- This, 100% this. I've been saying this for weeks now, ever since people started criticizing the flawed Jedi portrayed in Acolyte. The Jedi have NEVER been perfect paragons of flawless omniscient godliness -- sure, they have what we see as amazing Force powers, but they're still normal people, and they're just as flawed and just as fallible as any other people, with or without access to the Force. And yeah, I'm an old-school Star Wars fan -- I grew up watching the original trilogy in the theater on release -- and once Lucas started exploring more of who and what the Jedi are, it became clear that they were just as capable of mistakes and flaws as anyone else. So don't worry, Alan, this doesn't piss me off -- it actually relieves me that I'm not the only one who realizes this! :P

Master Sol had a chance to let the Jedi Council know when he was sending them a report that the Sith had returned 100 years earlier than when Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan let them know about Darth Maul. The biggest issue that I had was when Osha turned Sol's lightsaber blade from blue to red just from being pissed off. That's not how you "bleed" a kyber crystal. You have to direct a lot more rage, anger, and hatred over a long period of time into the crystal.

One last thing: As someone who lived through it, was a block away from the World Trade Center when they fell on 9/11, saw the plane hit the second tower with my own eyes, and felt the ground shake from the collapse, your take on Bush and America was spot on. The country, and particularly where I live, New York City, was getting crazy. Bush took the easy scape goat target that was something that initially could somewhat unify the country. And he had support from a lot of countries, in the beginning, as well.

I have literally never trusted Yoda. When he was introduced in TESB in 1980 he came off super suspicious. He was a total dick to Luke and then he just sends him into a dark side cave. That was always suspect to me. And I get that the way it was explained is he went to a planet with a dark side nexus because it was easier to hide there. But was it? Then when TPM came out in '99 and he's on the council him and Windu just come off like they're hiding something. It seems like they know something about Anakin or what he is. And I always thought the whole "two there are" thing was dumb in the first place, but I was also like "how the fuck do you know?" And as the prequels go on it becomes clear that Yoda knows shit he doesn't tell. The whole "perhaps mistranslated the prophecy was" or however he words it is especially telling. And if I'm being honest, his duplicitous dickishness extends to his force ghost's interaction with Luke in TLJ. Yoda knows Rey took the texts. And he basically tricks Luke into feeling guilty and sacrificing himself. I just don't trust Yoda.

Venestra is basically Jedi Internal Affairs. I was thinking about it, and if Mundi was involved in the cover up, wouldn’t it make sense that he would continue the cover up? So that line from the prequels would make sense. And to be fair, as it stands we don’t know Venestra tells Yoda. Lucas always saw the Jedi as the good guys, the representatives of the Light Side, but portrayed them as flawed heroes because, as you said, perfect characters are boring.
@leonardobroza62985 ай бұрын
This is another level os screw up and retcon, of the likes of taking all the credibility of a deaths. If that happens we can't believe in anything that we se on screen beacause writers will always come with loose interpretations of scenes, which is not clever, it just makes your universe lose weight and fans desengage. This clearly is not what Lucas meant with those sentences and don't be cinical to say otherwise, this is just cheap and disrespectful.

We're not sure what she's going to tell Yoda. She could be getting ready to lie to him. However, he does know all about the Rule of Two when he shouldn't, like he's been investigating it for a very long time, in secret, with Venestra. After all, we know he's not above a cover up. In Clone Wars, season 6, he covers up the fact that Sifo Diyas was killed by Dooku and Dooku killed his own friend and ordered the Clone army.
