Woah the cliffhanger ending. An upgraded ride for the longer distance rides and trips will be a good investment and keep your passenger happy too. Interested to see what trackerdieSteve finds when he splits the case.

Dang I’m really sorry about your sporty :/ I’m tracking down my own knocking noise in my 97 xl1200 and I saw some scoring in my walls today so I’m getting pretty sad about things. I wish you luck with your future bike :)

I have heard that is a common sight, but don't know how much I believe that since my 883s were pristine when I took them off. Hope your issue is easy to find and cheap to fix 🤞
@Johnclark300 Жыл бұрын
Damn that sucks, always check hoses, I knew a guy who had the same issue totally trashed the motor. I am curious if your standard hoses could be replaced by hard lines.
@ZozzerRidez Жыл бұрын
I'm sure you could make a custom line. but one end does thread right up into the bottom of the case at the filter.
@Supremebean303 Жыл бұрын
Long story short, prolly not worth the money to upgrade the cylinder heads to a 1250? I bought a 883 for a bargain and was thinking of doing the kit but if it’s gonna be a money pit. Would you recommend just keeping it as is and buy a soft tail?
@ZozzerRidez Жыл бұрын
I can't reccomend what anyone does with their bike, considering I blew mine to hell. I can't speak to or against the 1250 as it worked just fine until another part gave out.

How many times you change seat on bike How can you run oil empty and not consider bearings
@ZozzerRidez Жыл бұрын
I had 3 seats total, changed between two quite frequently. Two up for two up , stock for me. I did consider the bearings, but wasn't about to put more money in the bottom end and chase problem after problem, thus, das ende.

Not sure if you still have the Memphis Gauntlet fairing, but if you did, would you potentially sell it?

Protip: the next time you need to prime the engine with oil.... pull the spark plugs and use your starter motor in 10-20secs at a time until you build oil pressure. This keeps you from running the engine at operating speeds and temperatures without the necessary oil pressure. I know you already rebuilt the engine with a Hammers Performance kit, and I'd jiat like to say... thanks for buying from an Idaho based company

Good chance there was crank damage. It overheated pretty bad.

If you would have left that motor stock it would have lasted longer than you, never break that seal, stock is where it’s at especially on Harley’s
@ZozzerRidez8 ай бұрын
Actually incorrect. The modification to the engine had 0 to do with it. When I moved forwards to mids the oil pump to filter hose had wear from 20 years and now unsupported by a forward peg, burst and dumped all my oil. Only saw something a mile down the road at fwy rpms. It had been leaking since starting up the bike.

@@ZozzerRidez I’m still trying to figure out why someone this stupid would upload these videos giving conclusive evidence of their stupidity to the world. Then come in the comment section and act smart. It’s just never going to work. It wouldn’t take 3k to completely rebuild this motor and have a great bike. What kind of person thinks they’re ready for motorcycles yet isn’t smart enough to know riding one without any oil in it isn’t a great idea. A person not smart enough to understand what an Air cooled motor is. A person not smart enough to understand that the oil in the motor is the only liquid doing any sort of cooling and lubricating. It’s almost like they had to have done this on purpose.
