Filipino culture is actually a huge part of Hawaiian culture today…a combination of the large Filipino population combined with how long Filipinos have been in Hawaii…you will see it from the food, to people’s values, etc.

Pro tip. If you’re not gonna eat the poke bowl right away ask them to separate the poke from the rice. The quality changes if you wait (if they use hot rice) but if it’s sushi rice you should be good to go.
