There was an incident during Hermitcraft Season 6 where Mumbo had to deal with a massive copyright issue. If I recall the details correctly, Mumbo had paid for the rights to use a certain song, called May Rains (the title of that music disc,) as his intro music a long time ago, and it was on pretty much every single video on his channel. That song, in turn, contained an audio sample produced by a certain artist, who gave the creator of May Rains permission to use it. The artist who created that sample was later acquired by Warner Chappel Media, who then proceeded to copystrike literally every one of Mumbo's videos on the basis of them containing that single audio sample. Mumbo reached out to them multiple times and was completely ignored every time. He had to spend a few weeks going through all of his videos and trimming out the intros and outros, by hand, on many hundreds of videos. It sucked, and he did nothing wrong.

Two songs were claimed: April Showers and Can't Stop Me. They were made by his friend ProleteR. ProleteR used a sample and despite the work clearly being transformative, Mumbo's videos were copyright claimed. Mumbo didn't need to pay to use the songs, but he did sign a contract with him just so that there'd be record of it in case something similar to that copystrike did happen. It didn't work though since Warner Chapell was claiming the sample and not the song oddly enough. ProleteR didn't have any issues with them.

Awesome video! I remember watching it and laughing so hard! I had a suggestion for something to react too if you dont mind. I dont know how much you know about Slimecicle, but he's apart of this DnD podcast called "Just Roll With It" and recently some fans have made really cool animatics of there campaign called "Prime Defenders" Its all done really well and I think you'd like it.
