24:00 To answer your question, yes, Yoona is not confident in her singing contrast to her dancing. She said this during an interview. She was actually accepted in SM by singing. She probably lose her confidence being in a group full of belters and average to above average vocalists... As a Yoona stan, I'm a bit sad because of this. She even said that she don't want to sing SNSD songs because it's very high pitch and her voice isn't naturally high. I'm just glad she was able to showcase her soft vocals through her mini album (compilation of her singles). And I wish you can react to Yoona's chinese album. It has 3 songs... I wish you can check it out. As a Yoona stan, I am so proud of her improvements...

So True and the fact that she also said on a Variety show where they have to pick sing to song on a karaoke in order to gain high score the guys suggested try your song and YoonA said SNSD songs are hard. We can't deny that YoonA is trying hard and just playing safe well she's not a vocalist tho she's a sub/lead rapper, dancer, visual actress and such a Goddess with a kind heart. We love her now matter what.

omg a soshi video!!! yeah most of these clips are literally HyoSooSeo lmao. The thing with Yoona, and probably some members too, they definitely sing with more confidence during debut days. Compared to the usual whispery, light, and breathy way they sang during their later era(Hoot to MrMr), they had more power and volume and they project more back then. I'd say they're fine now but there was a noticeable contrast back then and I'm really sad about it cause I really like all of soshi's vocals. I think every member sings well and has the potential tbh. Fun fact! Taeyeon and Seohyun dubbed the korean ver of Margot and Edith from Despicable Me(they did 1 and 2) so it's probably why Seohyun sings the banana song a lot lol.

Yoona started as an actress a few months and she appeared on lots of mvs etc.prior to her debut as an idol so she's always dubbed as nothing but a pretty face making her loose her confidence in singing. She may not be a belter but her voice is so soothing, I think she's more confident singing in chinese and she was able to showcase that on her solo fanmeeting tour. 💕

With your comment about YoonA, she lost her confidence early in their career because since she was a popular member, she would be the one to be criticized. Haters saying she couldnt sing and was just a pretty face and nothing more. It was a ton of hate she received, so she ended up losing her confidence for a long time. Members, as you saw Tiffany, encouraged YoonA to sing a verse in some of their concerts. If you noticed, she sang a little more in probably their first two albums, but then she started receiving less and less parts in most of their songs next to Hyo and, I'm guessing she didnt want more parts due to her lack of confidence. And the SHY song performance is from a sub-unit group called Orange Caramel. Orange Caramel is a very quirky girl group (there is only 3 of them).

yay soshi reaction!! about the yoona thing, i rmbr her talking about it on Hyori's Homestay and yeah she isn't super confident in her singing... i feel like sm is really good at training the voices they like, but not very good at nurturing different vocal colors than the ones "they want", i may be wrong but I've seen too many sm artists with different vocal tones get discouraged from singing bc of lack o lines or even comments from vocal coaches (sunny being an example of it)

24:00 to answer your question Sir Austin, yes Yoona is not confident with her voice that's why she wanted to quit training as an idol and just pursue acting but their trainer told her that it would be such a waste since she has such amazing dancing skill and even called her the sharpest trainee. But even after debut, she was still not confident. She sings just bcs of fans' requests but you could still feel she's still not confident up until today. 🥺

Austin you should watch Girls For Rest! It’s a SNSD Oh!GG series. They filmed it in France in 2018. It has 10 episodes (and 2 extras If I remember correctly) and it’s extremely funny. Lots of drunk soshi content

Omygosssh i missed my chaotic Soshi! undeniably natural comedians thats why they also have tons of variety shows bcoming variety queens. Never a dull moment watching esp this behind the scene clips or concert goofy fancams. One of the reason why i loved them so much, they dont care bout idols image stuffs. Yoona was never confident in her singing back in the day. She's gotten much better in recent years, but she always had a very pleasant voice. She's always been confident in her dance and leading the group from the center. I dare say she was a big factor in their legendary synchronicity. That and many years of training for the majority of them.

Do you remember the highnote part of The Boys where Taeyeon sang "My heart" and followed by even higher note then "Just bring the boys out"? I saw a short clip of the live performance where Tiffany and Hyoyeon harmonized to hit that High note that they even sang it louder than the backtrack. (That highnote was supposed to be a backtrack). Best group ever created along with EXO. Just saying... And yes Yoona is not that confident with her singing but my girl can SING! As a Yoona stan I could die to make her realize how great she is. It's sad that she lost her confidence when you have Taeyeon or Jessica belting like there's no tomorrow but I want her to realize how pretty and strong her voice is!
