Them calling Hobby Horsing a sport is like me calling unicycle basketball a sport. To me, unicycle basketball IS a sport, and it happens to be my sport of choice. I play it weekly. I have for about 17 years! That doesn't detract or insult basketball as a sport. People in Finland take their hobby horsing seriously. From the videos I've seen, it appears that to them it genuinely IS a sport, and that's what matters. Them calling it a sport isn't meant as an insult. If you are hugely insulted by what other people genuinely consider to be their "sport" of choice, I think the solution is to focus more on your own life and stop dwelling on how other people choose to live theirs. One more thing... since we're discussing semantics, I thought you might like to kno... contrary to what you said in the description, "equestrians" is NOT a sport... Dressage, endurance riding, eventing, reining, show jumping, tent pegging, vaulting, polo, horse racing, driving, and rodeo are sports (SOURCE: Wikipedia).

Aaliyah V yeah, but no. you don't just run around. you jump high obstacles over 1 meter, you try to mimic dressage movements with your feet. your muscles actually ache after doing a full workout of either dressage or jumping with a hobbyhorse. and you get sweaty. don't judge this sport if you haven't tried it,seriously. it annoys us hobbyhorsers as much when people say 'it's not a sport' as it annoys us equestrians when people say 'it's not a sport,you just sit there' do you actually think that what Raleigh did in the video is what it actually looks like? no. absolutely not. and it's not something only kids do, adults make a living out of hobbyhorsing, and the people who make the annual championships have actual sponsors. running around with a toy horse is what small kids do, and real hobbyhorsing is on a whole another level.
