I’m a hawks fan and was raised to hate the red wings in which I did of course but I can’t help but really really like this team now, not only because of Patrick Kane and Debrincat but the whole staff and roster just seem like amazing hard working people that are dedicated to their city and to bring home a cup. I respect the red wings and look forward to them making the playoffs this year!

Wings preview would be great! And as a lifelong wings fan I never in a million years would have thought I would be hyped to see Kane, DeBrincat, Tarasenko, and Talbot. But I think they're brewing something special here this year. I think the wings are about to take a huge step forward this year or next, and that's not even counting what they've got in the pipeline in GR and overseas. Super hyped on the wings right now.

Crazy how almost everyone wrote Kane off, he had 92 points in 78 games during the 21-22 season, he only had one down year and still put up 57 points in 73 games playing with his bad hip.

As a Capitals fan who lost Nicklas Backstrom, likely forever, to the same type of surgery/injury... Glad to see Kane still playing at the highest level and not only playing but impressing people. I'm not a real big fan of Kane by any means, but a one-legged Kane is going to get more production than half the guys in the league. Hope the Red Wings are able to kick some ass this year and get back to their rightful spot: in the playoffs.

I think it's more confusing but the Red Wings are getting an All-Star caliber goaltender off of free agents for the first time since 2001 acquiring Dominik Hasek.. I think Talbot gets overlooked by Red Wings fans because they really don't know his game like that.. go tinting isn't really what concerns me as much as the bottom for or particularly the bottom two defensive pairings

As for defense, i can understand people being upset that stevie didnt do as much as we wouldve hoped, but i wouldnt be as concerned, since edvinsson is finally getting a full season, and gustafsson in my eyes is an improvement over walman, who btw, was scratched at the end of the season.

I think Talbot really helps the wings in net. When there wasn’t so much pressure on Lyon he played really well. Even if talbot ends up being like a 905 goalie taking that pressure off Lyon will help his game as well

Felt like there was a lot of negativity towards Wings last season when he was rumoured to be signing with us “Why would he sign there?”, “He’ll want to win another cup”. I think it says a lot for Yzerman and the management team that they made the team look compelling. And with a lower risk deal too. We’ve had some of the same chatter again this coming season “Why would he sign there”, etc. Seems to be lost on people that Wings are slowly becoming more attractive to play for, especially after coming so close last season. Really looking forward to seeing Kane on the Wings for a full season.

In the same span that Stevie y was in Tampa, only 1 player drafted by Holland ended up a regular NHLer in Detroit... And that was Dylan larkin. Then he was expected to build up in Edmonton. 9.25 to Darnell nurse, Jack Campbell 5x5, Bouchard bridge. That team is only relevant because McJesus wills it. Wonder how bowman is gonna fumble the team next...

Yea Debrincat only getting 27 goals was a big disappointment, especially considering he scored most of those goals in the beginning of the season/first half. He was invisible for long stretches and couldn't hit the net.
