Bedard is a bust. The worst defensive liability in the modern era of hockey. The worst +/- of any rookie in the last 30 years. Worse even than rookies in the 1980s when everyone had blown out stats. In the three decades since then, other rookies have played on worse teams, like Hossa in Ottawa, or Kovalchuk in Atlanta, and done far better. Dickinson played on the same team and was a +5. 18-year-olds playing on poor teams last year, like Benson and Fantilli, did far better than Bedard. No excuses. Dude is just out to pad his stats.

@@Borodin410what are you on about? Look at McDavid and ovi. There +\- was not much better but their teams had more goals than the hawks by a mile. If you think bedard is a bust, you also think ovi, Crosby, and McDavid were busts.

@@1bossman266 Um, Ovechkin and McDavid both had very respectable +/- their rookie years. Bedard has the worst in 30 years. He sucks.
@1bossman266Ай бұрын
@@Borodin410 like I said there teams were extremely better lol. When you have overpaid defencemen that put the puck in their own net, nothing bedard can do to prevent that -1. Majority of these -‘s he has is cause of poor defense now doing his job. Also look at the fact he is 18. You think he is going to know how to play all positions? Planarin and Kane gave away more breakaways then bedard did but no one talks about that.
@Borodin410Ай бұрын
@@1bossman266 Like I said, Hossa, Kovalchuk, and lots of others stars who had their rookie years on teams worse than Chicago still managed to play responsible team hockey. Bedard never has. At the Junior World Championship, Bedard has already shown fantastic hockey, and at the adult level he is already confirming his class. The main thing is that he can play very well with an backhand and score goals with a wrist shot. In North America, a Soviet hockey player like Sergei Makarov is little known, but Bedard reminds me a lot of this famous former player from the USSR, but Bedard, of course, plays many times faster than in the past.
