You do good work! Your channel is really unique and you're doing PC buyers a genuine service. I appreciate you are measured and balanced in your evaluations but not afraid to point out issues and room for improvement; all things people need to know when spending money on a PC. I'm more of a DIY kind of guy, but enjoy your videos and wouldn't hesitate to refer people to your channel if they want to buy a pre-built PC. Have you, at any point, talked about a "Top 5" or "Top 10" pre-built companies ranked? I mean watching your videos, someone could probably come to some conclusions on which company you might put on the top of your list, but I'd love to see a ranked list of companies that you maintain and update as companies might go and come or rise and fall on the list. Or maybe list the top 5 or top 10 with four or five "charateristics" which are ranked form 0 to 10, as in price, aesthetics, config flexibility, quality of parts, and so on?

I do find it slightly odd that they were able to make sure we see the warranty information, however they couldnt add image doesnt show starting price up top as well.

On the plus side, the fact that you can go "I want THAT CASE" and then you can select any of the inventory they have *could* be a good thing, but I would agree some of the default base spec/suggested starting points should be bigger/better.

The fact that their pictures don't show what you will be getting. Disclaimer or not. Shows how shady they are being to their customers. Terrible website antic, and terrible business method.

They should just have the 3 preconfigured PCs but have customization. That way customers can see the different price options and make changes to suit their needs kind of like what build redux does.

The only problem I have with the low default specs is, as you pointed out, it is a poorly balanced build. It is created by having a too pricey default case. Also, I have seen SI sites where the image reflects the low default spec build and gets updated as you as options.

My initial thought: In the customizer with the lowest specs, if you click on a beefier GPU, a prompt or notation should say "4080 GPU best paired with CPU 7800X3D, suggested build see *high end default build* to utilize/not bottleneck the CPU. See article about GPU/CPU bottle neck and suggested pairings." I think that would let the user, who is new to pc building know they may need to do more research.

Xotic is a scummy business. I can say for a fact they have taken returned/used parts and placed them in new builds and sold them as new. No thanks!

You gotta do what you gotta do to survive... If that's what they got to do to not let their kids starved then who are you to judge them... Obviously you feel your computer needs outweighs the needs of an actual young human life... So sorry if your Minecraft marathon is interrupted because some people got to eat...

for the last pc "xotic" i am more of the guy who would not need the higher end gpu. i dont plan on heavy gaming, this primarily a pc for cad so that would work for me. the idea about telling users what the purpose "looks or function".

For me, I am focusing on building my own PC that will effectively double the power of my gaming laptop at less than I paid for the laptop. I am playing with PC Part Picker, am learning more every week, and refining my decision process. Some day I will be on the list for help.

I would be interested in seeing a laptop review. If I were going to spend double what I paid before, I would be looking at a RTX 4070 laptop, because of the power curve.

I bought a MSI dominator pro from xotic in 2017 and am now just replacing with a new laptop from xotic. It should arrive July 23.

Hi Braethorn.Your comment concerning the warranty needed to tell the video viewers what the "Read More" portion of the description says if you have the time. Their red print on a black background makes it harder to see. I see any PC case as being just eye candy. In other words, a case is just a case, as all instances perform the same function. If I buy an SI PC, I expect to see a copy of the Test Report that every PC should have. You can check for this if you do a Chat. Many SI PCs have one or more video(s) on KZbin showing a review of the PC you might be interested in purchasing.

Personally when I’m shopping I prefer to go to a high priced pc with the most performance possible and downgrading it a little, instead of having to upgrade absolutely everything. If that makes sense?

I'm glad they are making moves of improvement, but with the last prebuilt that I got from them. I will be building my own and get a much better pc for the same price of there's. I learned the hard way.

Let’s be real, anyone with a brain that wants to customize their pc build can plainly see the initial cost reflects the fact that there is no graphics card selected yet because that is one of the multiple options you are going to “customize” via the customize button… if someone is too dumb to understand that then they have no business spending money on the internet period.

Xotic PC is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with with any sort of retail. They sold me an $8000 broken computer could not figure out how to fix it. Sent it back and they damaged it and now they won’t refund my money. They have since told me that my broken computer has been taken apart and the parts have been put back on the shelf. Everyone please stay very far away from this company. They are liars and they are thieves.

Good morning sir! I would love to have a brief conversation with you in regards to a laptop I plan on buying for my son from Xotic PC in the near future. I used to build gaming PCs back when (socket 478 and 775 for reference 😂) but am completely out of touch with tech nowadays. I'd like to make sure I choose a balanced laptop but don't know where things fall in relation to each other at different price points with CPUs, graphics cards, memory and SSDs.
