Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.Firestorm is scheduled to be released in March 2019. - Wikipedia

This honestly is the best way to play these rifles, though. Tank hunting with a sniper rifle is fun and it's satisfying; it's something I miss from Battlefield 1 and I'm glad it's sort of been brought back.

I find the anti-material rifles are more for harassing ( interrupting repairs ) & finishing tanks off. They take a long time to do what an assault can do. They are still my favourite weapon to use by far, as long as the game is letting you mount normally.

I find it interesting that Dice made both anti-material rifles with the same bullet velocity. It even says in the description of the PzB 39 that it relies on speed to go through armor. You would think the PzB 39 would shoot at a faster velocity and do less damage to tanks while the Boys AT would shoot slower but with more damage

It would be too OP then. Imagine 3 or 4 players sniping tanks from really far distance if the dmg was higher... + assaults doing damage... tanks wouldnt stand a chance. The main idea behind the AT rifles is to prevent tanks from self repairing.

They must've really nerfed the absolute hell out of these rifles, but there's no way either the Boys or PzB will kill vehicles that quickly anymore. I couldn't care less about infantry damage, but it's kinda underwhelming when anti-tank rifles do 5 or less damage. I killed an obvious Sturmtiger from full health and it took like 14 rounds to do so with the Boys. Probably could've killed it faster with the repair tool.

Thankfully I do,, but they're also not very effective against Heavy Tanks on their own unless you get behind them, I hate using them on infantry... so unfair... plus if I wanted to snipe infantry, I just my trusty Gewehr 95/30, best Bolt Action in the game. But it's for those reasons why my Anti Material Rifles are below rank 4. If I really wanted to murder tanks, I'd just use the overpowered Assault Class...

​@@patrickgracias5782 I would agree that Krag is the most well rounded, but Kar98k is the least interesting sniper in the game, krag has 1 more bullet and a faster RoF, 85 to 90% of my sniper kills are headshot so I don't mind the slightly higher Kar98k base dammage, RoF and 6 bullets are far more important. If DICE wanted to remove the Kar98k I wouldn't mind.

@@og_sane I believe arbitrary limitations are only necessary when a weapon presents a significant power-up to one player (e.g. tanks, planes, sentry kits etc.) In my opinion AT rifles aren't any more OP than shotguns or sniper rifles: They have excelent use in very specific situations with considerable drawbacks in others. This is how balancing is supposed to work. Thus I don't think anyting needs to be done about them. :) Give it two weeks and nobody will be talking about this gun anyways. It was the same with the Boys. It's fun to use, but ultimately not very effective.

Wow, they really screwed up the muzzle velocity on the Panzerbusche, Its a 8mm projectile in a .50 cal casing shooting at 4k fps. That's where its effectiveness came from.... Forgotten Weapons has a great video on it

@@AzuraProductions It definitely is just one of those things that as a Battlefield player of previous productions and the historical accuracy of those that is just irritating with this whole game. I kind of figured they would just copy and paste the trajectory, ect. I just did not realize it had not been adjusted at all. The Boys is a .55 cal it and similarly calibred AT rifles shot a hardened AP round and allso had an explosive tipped ammo type later on to be more effective against fortifications, small vehicles and soft targets

If u can, play Post Scriptum for more realistic ballistics. The Panzerbusche and BAT behave exactly like they should, troop vaporizing Lazer beams. Tank pen is way more realistic as well, feels so good when you finally crack that weak point take out crew or blow the engine

Nice video. I need one more call in to get it. Playing this weekend there were teammates or even a whole squad of Boys and Panzerbüchse running together on PanzerStorm. They can be annoying when your in a tank. But most use the scope and it just gives there location away. Many ( Axis ) would hang out on D flag in conquest facing F flag. You break thru the wall or tree line and you start getting popped. Add a pack 40 shot to your tank and you'll be backing up.

See i don''t mind the AT rifle vs infantry gameplay except for maybe being able to hitfire what would be a massive (in both size and weight) weapon. What does bother me is that for an AT weapon it is barely effective. Honestly i'd like a penetration system where you wouldn't do any damage when hitting most of the tank but on rear shots or other weakpoints depending on the tank you'd do double the damage you do now. This way an AT rifle hit is actually felt by a tank and players have more incentive to move when wielding the rifle. But they'd really need to fix bipods for these weapons to be somewhat viable. (being able to move side to side would be a great start)

Here's how I would have handled the guns: the Panzerbüsche would still be cumbersome to use, but instead of being a high damage weapon, it can have an insanely high velocity, with the same damage parameters as either the Gewere 98 or the Kar 98, and lower damage overall to vehicles. The Boys rifle would have a slight damage buff to vehicles, but act largely the same.

For anti tank i lake to throw down a smoke get close and spam the boys at and usually i almost or do get the the kill. If i dont kill it i leave it at really low health and usually an assault helps finish it

Small question: Do you know if tanks that share the same chassey also share the same hit detection model? For example all medium tanks and AAs. I'm just wondering, because I don't believe the Archer actually carries its engine in the front like IRL. Maybe you have some experience in that?

The Archer is basically the Valentine and in real life it would move with the gun facing backwards. So the engine is in the back but in this game it simplified things for the player base and made the gun facing forward

These things rip planes apart. 25-35 damage to bombers on a single hit to the fuselage. 18-20 on wing and tail hits. Anything smaller is gonna get shredded. I've gotten hits on fighters up to 70. They also instantly rip a wing off, kill an engine or completely fuck up their rudders.

I'm still pretty a noob, strangling with all the options and tools, but I believe this drives tankers mad. Cause they don't know what you are hitting them with. They might think it's an assault which keeps hitting them and they can't find him.

By this time in world war II the anti-material rifle was outdated therefore that's why it was used on infantry during the later parts of its use because tanks had evolved to defend against it not only that it was not designed to blow up a tank but to hit the crew inside

It was designed against early war tanks, like Panzer I/II/35/38, Soviet T-26 and BT. Panzer III and following tanks, and their Allied counterparts, had thicker armor that the AT rifle could only pierce to the side/back and on short distances.

tbh, despite being absolutely inlove with the at rifles in bf5, my all-time favourite (also the gun that got me suspended off of psn for a week) would have to be the ZH-29 self loading rifle. aslong as your in a good sniping point with these rifles and aslong as you know how to use them right, they're op asf due to their much more superior fire right, adding the bipod onto the rifle aswell to minimize the recoil and stability of the rifle. it can make for an enemies worst nightmare, I think my best record with that rifle, is 41K to 2D

Stuck on the Panserbuchse mastery 3 assignment. I'm too noob to make 5 headshots kill in a single life. Most I've gotten is 4. Also the amount of damage you do to medium and heavy tanks is seriously disappointing. 3 damage on a Tiger tank with APCR specialization. I don't expect to 5 shot them, but 3 damage? You gotta be kiddin me.
