This is how buckwheat is harvested in Himalayas | कुट्टू का आटा | Darma valley Uttarakhand

I had an amazing experience being part of the buckwheat harvesting season in the Himalayas, at 13,000 ft in Darma Valley, Uttarakhand. In this video, you'll see the four main steps of harvesting:
Reaping
Threshing
Cleaning & Drying
Grinding
While exploring the mountains, I stayed near a small Bhotia village called Goe. From May to September, the locals grow and harvest buckwheat, and as someone who loves to experience local life, I couldn’t resist joining in. Living my vanlife in the Himalayas, I spent almost two months in this beautiful village, getting to know the people and becoming part of their community.
I helped with reaping and threshing the buckwheat, which was so much fun because I got to work side by side with my new friends. And honestly, it’s hard not to enjoy yourself when you’re surrounded by such incredible views. On one side, there’s Mt. Panchachuli, and on the other, the entire Darma Valley spreads out below you under a vast, open sky.
If you’re planning a trip to Uttarakhand, I highly recommend visiting Goe in the Darma Valley. It’s a chance to live close to the Himalayas, meet the amazing Bhotia tribe, and experience mountain life in the most authentic way.
