Johnny, I started my parttime side hustle lawn care business in July and have 6 weekly and 2 biweekly customers. So a full days work one day a week. I haven't done any advertising as soon as I get 1 new customer I get a referral. I picked up half of my customers in one day. I'm slowly going to keep building and I'm in the process of training my son so he can get out there and help me. You're a huge inspiration and I also run the husqvarna battery trimmers and they are the best. Way to keep it 💯.

Ill let you in on a little trick to get the most out of your blades. Alot a people will run the blades until they are completely worn down and then sharpen them to try and get more out of it but the problem is at a certain point the integrity of the blade is compromised so what you do is After cutting grass for a week ( I Work COmmercially) swap the blades out for new ones and sharpen the old ones, I find this gives me 3x to 4x the life span out of the blade because your able to maintain that sharp edge through the bulk of the blade instead o wearing the bulk down and then sharpening.

@BrandenH-O0512 жыл бұрын
Mt conpany uses stihl, they are lovely engines and you can swap out a string trimmer with a metal edger in a couple seconds, however, its one of the most awkward "one size fits all". You have to have your body at a weird angle for the edger. For me persoanlly it causes the exhaust to blow on my arm and i often have to hold it in the opposite hand and it then sprays rocks at me.
@FishFind30002 жыл бұрын
@@BrandenH-O051 I have a km131r with the straight shaft edger and don’t have the exhaust problem. Have you looked at the depth adjustment setting on it? If that’s set high that might be why your having to hold it wonky and getting cooked? I have mine set as low as possible.

If your personal integrity is at stake, drop them... Your prices will rise to the level you consistently do. If you do a good job for one because they pay you enough and a mediocre job for someone else, all potential customers will look at you as inconsistent. Do a good job the rest of the season (not much left) and let them know you are not a good fit or just give the work to a kid that doesn't care. Bottom line is that your signature is on every job you do.

Great video, I have a question ❓ I recently purchased a blade edger. I have the level of the wheel set about 1/2 way. I know it's base on the thickness of the over grown grass. On your normal properties how many can you do before you have to change the blades? I know you use the blades more than others on KZbin, but a lot don't talk about how to use one or have the right height, to make the blades last longer. Thanks
