Yet he had no problem pinning crimes on people very loyal to him thru wiretap surveillance. It could be viewed as the chicken or the egg, but without John Gotti’s voice on wiretap saying Gravano committed all these crimes, would Gravano have even been put in a position to inform? I had a buddy that used to be a low level weed dealer (LLWD), and two of his friends/fellow LLWD ratted on him. I saw one in a packed library during exam week, called him a b**ch to his face loudly in front of the entire library. His face got red and he laughed nervously. The other I saw working at a local sporting good store. As soon as I saw him, I told his manager “I’ll never be a patron so long as you got people like this working here.” Ratting/snitching has always been something that violates the very core of my being. That said, if someone I was very loyal to turned out to be the reason why I was behind bars, and they didn’t even have enough respect for me and humility to apologize, who knows what I would do?

The reality is that 95% of people crack when it comes to the feds. No one wants to do life or years/decades in prison. I agree that if you do the crime, you do the time but most people don't see it that way. The older I get though, the more I realize that that lifestyle and quick/fast money is never worth it.A former buddy of mine who is doing a 30 year bid right now and he's in his 30's. He's had a kid 2 years before he got caught up and he'll never be involved in his life until he's at least 50 (if he gets out early). Can't get that time back. No aomunt of money is worth losing that much time.

And PBD, you should have enough loyalty for Sammy being one of your first million viewer guests to not do an interview of a guy saying all this about him. Maybe Sammy doesn’t care, or he understands, but Sammy the Bull may have been the first Valuetainment video I ever watched.

This lifestyle is risky, vicious, violent and scary. You stay on top until a tougher guy comes up in the ranks. If you’re lucky enough to survive and make it into your senior years it gets lonely real fast. Of course, the worst is jail time and ultimately dying in jail.

It's very true about Crab Orchard lake...!!! I live in Southern Illinois...about 30 minutes from Marion Illinois. Use to live even closer. It's bad news! We don't eat the fish from there! But use to swim in it some...a black called bum's beach ...anyone who went and really partied at SIU will know what I'm talking about. Wouldn't be surprised if I end up with a strange cancer one day. Also General Dynamics has a weapons plant on the lake that I'm sure gets waste dumped into it. And I'm old enough to remember when he was locked up there! His family had a house on a nicer lake Lake of Egypt...guess they'd stay there when they would come see him. Think they sold it soon after he died. But got friends in that area that recall they family being there. Called Lake of Egypt because we ain't Chicago! Down here we are know as Little Egypt because the first people in Illinois called it that because of how good the harvest were down here...Little Egypt has its own history of gangsters and gang wars if people are interested in that kind of thing...lots of books on the subject!

Being in organized crime would be so easy today because there is a huge market for legitimate products that people can’t get fairly anymore. Like getting medical stuff or parts for semi trucks or tractors. There is a huge market for smuggled medicine and equipment software.

I understand he was John Gotti, and I admired him. You really have to shackle a sick man. With nine guards around him. That disgusts me. He wasn't a 20 yr old serial killer. R.I.P. J.G.

My point exactly. Like I said- ages ago at Queens College we used to carry these huge bottles of Evian water to every theater class and every rehearsal. I understand that " this is not the same " is a meme, a sick joke but this was not why Goddaddy needed bottled water! He was in danger- he wasn't trying to fit in or show off. And putting a dying man in chains??? What purpose can it possibly serve?

The lack of empathy not sympathy but empathy is embarrassing. Makes sense now that I think about it. People actually need some life experiences under their belt to empathize with “ criminals “ and “ prisoners “. Who are actually real life people, just like you and me. 🤷‍♂️. But you’re reading and watching their lives. They aren’t interested in yours 😂😂😂

Fraternities like the Masons work in therefore control the prison system as many systems through society managing beauocracy. I believe they record behavior of certain individuals throughout life and death even from birth through the parents or childcare givers, it may be in hopes of connecting to the otherside of life we know.
