My father died of cancer whenever I was a 10-year-old boy! It’s something I’ve never gotten over and have a hard time talking about today being a grown 45-year-old man ! After hearing this interview, I can tell John Jr adored his father like I did mine! Listening to him talk about the love he had for his father makes me think of how much I love my own! I don’t know what he’s done in the criminal world or not, but hopefully God will help him with the loss that you can clearly see affect him so much every day! I am a strike of a man as they can be, but after watching this, I just want to give him a hug and tell him his father would’ve been proud of him and he has done everything he possibly can do to honor his father and I know he would be very, very proud of you

Sammy wasn’t the one constantly running his mouth about crimes John committed. John Gotti was hoping there was a wiretap in the room to pickup what was being said because he was threatened by Sammy, and he wanted to use Sammy’s loyalty as a weapon against him. Why wasn’t John caught on tapes talking about his own crimes? Instead he’s caught talking LOUDLY about m**sees Sammy did (and some he did not). Then he tells Sammy “you gotta take the fall for this”? Pffff gtfoh. John Gotti knew a wiretap would eventually pickup what he was saying, so he snitched first.

I like Junior to speak about the "rumors" that he went and sat down with the Gov't and was looking to cooperate. I classify it or title it as "rumors" because I want to give him his respect and the chance to explain the stories behind it. The biggest difference between Franzese and Gotti Jr. is that Jr. sees his dad through those rose colored glasses and considers him flawless. I love my Pops, but I resoect the truth. I consider my pops the greatest man ever, but he was flawed. If Gotti Jr. can't be honest about his father's shortcomings, he should stop talking about him in public. It makes him less credible. Also, he is the only one who ever claimed that his fathers IQ was tested. Everyone else denies it. He even defends his father putting him in charge when he went away in other interviews. Everyone on both sides of the law considered that almost as big a mistake as being recorded.

@richcapo4958 Saying that " Jr. Is a good person, as you can see, "is very naive. I mean this respectfully, I don't you, so I'm merely responding to your post. I have seen enough interviews with Jr., as, like many others, I am fascinated by the Mob life and that way of thinking. I can confidently say that he will say whatever makes him and his dad look good, especially his father. I have heard at least 5 different IQ numbers for his dad, and he has given 3 different places that it was measured. The problem is that he doesn't say that it was measured 3 times, he has changed the story that many times. He is a walking contradiction, and basing his character solely on his stories is unreliable, to say the least.

My babysitter was the daughter of a Ruggiero. My dad was good friends with her dad. His wife was the perfect mob wife. So sweet and inviting and would sit me up on the counter while she cooked. Long time ago. One thing my dad had that resembled Gotti, he would never fold no matter how bad he was beat. He would never turn his head down. Always had a will of iron and would never talk to the police. Even as a 90 year old he would lie his ass off when questioned by the cops about anything, even directions, lol. I miss him every day.

In the 70s & 80s our parents were our role models yes we were raised in authority and discipline so that's why John Jr speaks of his father as a God. I am from his years too so yes, my father was a God in my eyes too ;)

I am an insider of the life from the 80's and I can assure you 80% of the information John Jr explained is fact. The other 20% i can not confirm only because it's too close to his immediate family. Sammy did his time in protective custody in every prison along with Bobby Deluca Sr from providence RI. Sammy Gravano and Bobby DeLuca are two of one in that life. Do your due diligence on these facts. Sammy only killed guys who couldn't fight back and never got into street fights instead he paid guys to fight for him like Tommy Karate. Sammy is a disgrace to manhood. The media is totally responsible for creating this big bad image for Sammy. The end.

Absolutely shocking the lack of empathy or care for John Favara, he accidentally hit Frank, wasn’t his fault, terrible what they did to him
