While being in Pakistan that is something I did not expect to happen. In the last days in Islamabad, I wanted to get something memorable from the town. So I traveled to Rawalpindi Sarafa Bazaar. This is something I started to do recently in my travels. To buy a ring instead of magnets. Yes, they are more expensive but actually can have value when you go back "home".
More than a ring, the most important thing is that in every shop you visit, every person you meet in the streets and the shops you always meet the same treatment. Pakistani people are super nice and friendly. They will invite you for a tea, take pictures with you and generally be interested in what are you doing in their country.

I think you paid too much, you should take someone you know from Pakistan with you who will do the deal for anything you buy, I'm from UK and I do go to Pakistan quite alot since I was a kid lol but even though I know how to deal with these shop keepers, sometimes I still end up paying more than I should have, I was in Karachi afew years ago, I went with reletives to do some shopping, I went in a shop that has jackets, I liked a jacket that was on display, I asked and the shopkeeper said it's for 8,000 rupees, I knocked him down to 6,500 rupees and I thought I did a good deal until my reletive walked in and moved me away while the shopkeeper went to get my size jacket, my reletive said he's charging you too much, I said no I got the price dropped from 8,000 to 6,500 rupees, he said go stand there out of the way where the shopkeeper can't see you, so I went behind some shelves, when the shopkeeper came to the counter my reletive asked how much for the jacket he has in his hand, the shopkeeper was looking around for me and in a low voice he said to my reletive it's for 4,000 rupees but he can take it for 3,000 lol I jumped out from behind the shelves and my reletive started laughing loud and saying see that lol so the shopkeeper started laughing too and then admitted to my reletive that as soon as he seen me walk in to the shop, he could tell I wasn't from Pakistan even though I was dressed in salwar kameez, I even bought some sunglasses from the same shopping centre, the guy at the shop said they were for 500 rupees and I knocked him down to 250 rupees, my reletive said "why did you buy them"? He said to stand away and he's going to ask for the same glasses, I stood abit away from the shop and when my reletive asked for the same glasses, the shopkeeper said they are for 200 rupees lol my reletive got the same glasses for 100 rupees

Not at all...Pakistani people have such a humble style ,smiley faces beautiful and full of warmth and welcomhing....also our traditions are so different ..the similarities you feel aren't that much and only in Punjab or karachi but otherwise Pakistan has middle eastern vibe ..even foreigners feel that too..and one thing...here the environment has a really different feel and smells so different than india...and waaaay cleaner toooo....and don't talk about the cuteness you actually haven't seen Pakistani beauty (people and places , homes etc) ...never compare ...and if you talk about similarities you can find similarities with other countries as well like Switzerland, spain,morroco, Egypt..and many other places...specially middle east...because we have same religious valeus...and also people..Pakistan is just like a mini world..😊...so no offense

Secondly, the shopkeeper is making an honest earning and in my view the product was worth the price quoted. These vloggers, in general, always try to bargain for a few USD for content really. Try doing this in Europe and see what happens where prices are much much higher ! They will not dare to bargain the way they do in our countries.

Finding things in Pakistan is always a marathon. U won't find everything in a single bazaar.....also most shops tend to be shady with pricing.

Yes , try to ask prices from local or guides then enter any bazar for purchase. And don't be quick be there talk to them, bargain, eventually they'll offer best price with tea!
