Patna was not like that before. In "Indica," a historical and geographical account written by the Greek historian Megasthenes, Patliputra (modern-day Patna) is described in considerable detail. Megasthenes served as an ambassador to the court of Chandragupta Maurya, and his observations provide valuable insights into the city during the Mauryan Empire. According to Megasthenes Patliputra was an extensive city with impressive urban planning. It was situated at the confluence of the Ganga river , which enhanced its strategic importance. The city was laid out in a rectangular shape and was surrounded by a massive wooden wall with numerous towers and gates. The wall was fortified and served as a strong defense mechanism. Patliputra was described as a large and populous city. The city stretched approximately 9.5 miles in length and 1.5 miles in width, reflecting its grandeur and extensive area. The city boasted magnificent palaces and buildings made of wood and adorned with elaborate decorations. The royal palace was particularly noted for its splendor, with intricate designs and luxurious interiors that showcased the wealth and power of the Mauryan dynasty. : Megasthenes noted the efficient administrative system in place at Patliputra. The city was governed by a council of thirty officials divided into six committees, each responsible for different aspects of governance such as trade, commerce, and public welfare. Patliputra was a thriving economic and cultural center. It was a hub for trade and commerce, with bustling markets and a variety of goods from different parts of the empire. The city was also a cultural melting pot, with people from various regions and backgrounds contributing to its rich and diverse culture. Megasthenes' account of Patliputra highlights its significance as a major urban center in ancient India, reflecting the prosperity and advanced state of the Mauryan Empire.

Usually those kulfie icecreams cost around 20-25 rupees according to their size and at marine drive they charged little bit higer to even local customers as it is a place to chill around. So 40 is almost a fair price for that kulfi, i would say, if you have not asked the price before eating.

So nice to see you guy's in our town 💗😊..patna, capital of bihar.. Patna is underrated town lots too see here nearby and explore some awesome food in town 😊...and thanks to our locals that you don't get rip off by giving extras to tuk tuk or any other Street vendors because that kulfi long stick ice-cream that cost you around 20-30..so it's okay to give 40... Hopefully you guys have awesome experience in our patna...❤

If you meet any Biharis just tell them Pawan Singh Lallantop Baa. They will feel thrilled. Also you should try Daal Pitha which is a dimsum from Bihar and Rajgira Ladoo which is a great sweet.

Actually the people whom he will be able to fluently communicate with don't like Pawan Singh or Bhojpuri film Industry as a whole. His stardom usually resides in the rural community and the lower strata of the society only.

This city is the most ancient city of India...Was capital of greater India for a long long time in past...Due to the Mighty Nandas... Alexander the Great did not enter his kingdom which extended from Patna till Afganistan..The Ashoka Chakra is there on Indian Flag...Jainism and Buddhism thrived here...Kamasutra was written here..OMG...I mean with such a Magnificent past..we have been reduced to this state...BIHAR WILL BOUNCE BACK..
