I’d really like to see another iteration of the OP draft, but it could also be cool to see a “best possible overall” team, where you go for the best possible one-year team, drafting players like Kelce, Derrick Henry and Trent Williams. I think it’d be interesting to see how good of a team you could build, b it it may be a bit boring from your perspective to always just go best stats (even if it’s not purely highest overall, there’s a lot less to consider than when you’re building a team for even a couple years) Also super looking forward to a rebuild of this team; you’re absolutely right that the potential is insane. Hoping you do indeed do it on Monday!

@@Jeromepkr Massive wall of text incoming, but I'd love to hear your opinions on some of the picks. I just finished my plan for the draft, haven't done it yet so it may turn out slightly different. Goal of this draft is to be the best possible team, which takes into account both the present and the future. Other than a handful of mentors and fill-ins, the entire team will be around for 5+ years on average before regressing. Snake draft starting at 1st overall, pre-existing injuries off. 1: Lamar Jackson - Developing QBs is fun, but I just did a franchise with Justin Fields and am thoroughly sick of bad stats. I prefer Lamar over Mahomes because I scramble quite a bit. 2: Tariq Woolen - This dude used to be a cheat code because he was normal dev until halfway through the season. He's superstar now, but at 97 speed I still love the pick. 3: Will Anderson Jr - There's a chance I get someone a bit older that's higher OVR and a superstar, but Anderson is almost certainly going to be available. 4: Jared Verse - Dude's a monster irl, and almost always seems to go up to superstar in sim 5: Jahmyr Gibbs - Love me a good RB, and this dude is the best franchise RB (maybe Bijan, but he's slow) 6: Tee Higgins - Was thinking about going DK in rd 3, but I don't usually use my WR1 enough to justify that, so I went for more of a committee approach. Tee is a steal for rd 6 7: Xavier Worthy - I love to have a fast WR2, and Xavier's usually the best you can do at that spot (I can't typically justify having Jamo or Waddle as a WR2) 8: Kamari Lassiter - Really solid rookie player, great as a CB2. Solid and balanced coverage stats 9: Kyle Pitts - 2nd best TE behind Bowers. 91 speed is OP 10: Edgerrin Cooper - Season 1 keep his position as MLB but have him play OLB; mentoring has the potential to send his OVR through the roof. After season 1 slide him back to MLB 11: Olu Fashanu - Even with the low OVR, you can't pass on the SS dev as a rookie 12 : Braden Fiske - Laitu Latu is also a solid pick here, but I had him last franchise 13: Joe Tippmann / Jackson Powers-Johnson - Both good centers. Powers is younger, Tippmann is 2 higher OVR. Likely will come down to archetype. 14: Jordan Battle / Quan Martin - Battle is younger, Quan is faster. Probably will go with Quan because he's a true FS, and the other safety I'm drafting is a SS. 15: Amarius Mims / Damien Lewis - I really want to draft Mims, but he's a tackle, and I really need a guard instead. 16: Mekhi Becton Sr - Really solid lineman for how late he's being drafted. 17: Kris Jenkins Jr - Super raw, but he'll be playing DT2 for year 1 and hopefully gets a mentor scenario. 18: Marte Mapu - Probably my least favorite pick. I originally was going to draft my second safety a few rounds higher, but all those other players took priority. One really interesting option is taking Cole Bishop in round 27/28; he's 72 overall but star dev and 21 years old. 91 speed, which is really solid for a safety. If there was other players I was looking at around here then I'd definitely consider taking Bishop. 19: Bobby Wagner - Love the guy, and he's an absolute steal, even as a one year guy. He has the mentor tag, which is the reason I want to keep Edgerrin Cooper at the MLB position for the season. 20: Shaquill Griffen / Eric Stokes - Two solid options for CB3. Griffen is 29, normal dev, 80 OVR; Stokes is 25, star dev, 75 OVR. Could put Griffen ahead of Lassiter for a year or two until he starts to regress, but I'd rather develop Lassiter and Stokes. 21: Tyler Boyd - Old (29) and slow, but star dev and fantastic catching. As a WR3 I'm not looking for anything crazy from him, but I want him to be able to hang on to the ball. Jauan Jennings is 27 and 80 OVR, but his athletics are similar and catching is worse. His route running is a lot better than Boyd's, but I don't think I value that as much. 22: Adonai Mitchell - Young and fast. All I really want from a WR4. Could also go Jalen McMillan, but he's a year older and only 1 OVR better. Both normal dev rookies. 23: Cam Robinson - This dude apparently doesn't go until rd 26-1, which is baffling to me. 28, star dev, 81 OVR. No pre-existing injury afaik. No clue what happened to make him go so low, but I'll absolutely take it, even though he's older. 24: Calais Campbell - Starting DT, as he goes up to 83 at that position. He's a one year guy, but I hope I get a mentor scenario with him and Kris Jenkins Jr. 25: BJ Ojulari - My second least favorite pick behind Mapu. He's 22, star dev, 71 OVR. He's got decent talent and potential, and he'll be backup MLB for year 1 (I run a 4-3) 26: Brandon Aubrey - Best K in the game right now, 99 KPW and 98 KAC. This is a few rounds before he's supposed to go but there isn't really anyone else I'd care to draft. 27: Kyle Juszczyk - Old but also the clear best FB, and I do sometimes use my FB. I can probably get a couple years out of him because of the superstar dev and because FBs regress slowly. Honorable mention to Reggie Gilliam; he's the third highest OVR FB behind Juszczyk and Ricard and only 27. 28: Luke Musgrave - My favorite TE2, and not just because I'm a Packers fan. He's got by far the highest speed in that category, but maybe going for someone better at blocking would be a decent idea? 29: Caelen Carson / Isaac Yiadom - My two options for CB4. I honestly don't remember the difference between the two 😂 30: Ryan Stonehouse - Best P in the game. Only 82 KAC, but 99 KPW, SS dev, and 25 years old. A.J. Cole is a lot more balanced, 97 KPW and 93 KAC, but I don't think accuracy matters much for punting, especially since I still kinda suck with the new meter. 31: Samaje Perine - 28, star dev, 75 OVR. Makes a killer power back because he has 97 carrying, which also makes him a great guy to sub in at the end of the game when you're just running out the clock. That's the entire starting team. I don't plan on drafting many backups, although I did find a couple steals (Morgan Moses is 81 OVR and goes rd 34, Kalif Raymond is 76 OVR with pretty good athletics and catching and goes rd 36). Almost all of these guys are being drafted before the "minimum draft position" (which isn't 100% accurate but is usually pretty good), and a bit after the "median draft position". I don't typically like to get one really good OL player, because I don't think a player like Joe Alt impacts the team as much as someone like Tee Higgins (both are rd 7). I'd rather have a strong OL all around, and put the playmakers at other positions. Backup QB I'll probably go either Joe Milton III or Jordan Travis. Milton is likely the best pick because of the athleticism (and he played pretty well irl), but I've won a SB with Travis + I'm a Seminoles fan. I also need to finish ironing out the exact picks for a couple positions, and get some backup picks ready. This will be my first time actually paying attention to the archetypes of the players I'm drafting, because I want to see how impactful it is to build the team around a specific scheme. Probably way more detailed than you expected, but I love planning this stuff out, diving deep into the draft order, investigating stats, etc. Looking forward to playing the franchise for a few years at least!

Your draft definitely went a different direction than mine; like you said yours was more focused on drafting players that are more fun to develop (like Caleb and MHJ), whereas I focused a bit less on super long term and more of the 1-5 year outlook. The Lamar pick is definitely less fun than Caleb from a management perspective, but like I said I’ve done that a couple times (one with early Jayden Daniels, one with Caleb, most recently with Justin Fields / Jordan Travis). Your D-line was absolutely nasty. You found some super interesting gems, especially at corner and safety. You also drafted some great depth. I’m super happy with my plan, but really great draft from you. Interesting to see how many players we both went after!

U can get Joe Milton in the 25th round. 98 throw power 83 speed 6’5 250. I like to just wait till then for quarterback
@Jeromepkr
@Jeromepkr 9 сағат бұрын
Yeah I had him on the list but decided to go Rattler as he's a year younger. Normally I would wait for qb but decided for once to get someone that will definitely upgrade and develop. Anthony Richardson is still probably my #1 fantasy draft qb since he has those high speed/throw power ratings and is far from guarantee to develop. If not Anthony in a true draft and develop situation I'd go McCarthy, Rattler, Milton, DTR tbh. Not the best year for developing young qbs without star+ dev outside of 1-2 guys.

@ yea I remember when Richardson went round 20 it was a cheat code. But now he goes like round 7.

I have thought of it but honestly considering the main online franchise basically is a subscriber franchise as we pull a lot from the channel they just don't really work out. We get people constantly leaving after a game or 2 and as a franchise goes on it gets harder and harder to keep new people from leaving again. It's so bad I'm half tempted to not even do the online league next year let alone a full subscriber one :(

Do a fantasy draft where you spin a wheel with all the players numbers you must draft a player who wears the number you land on.

Think we did that last year and it was such a pain once you get into the later rounds but it was fun overall so could be on the list.
