I'm new to your channel. I appreciate how down to Earth you are! I like how your previously highlighted hair gave so much texture, but I have to say I absolutely LOOOVE the color of your hair in this video! It compliments your skin tone so beautifully! Great video, btw 💛

Thank you for this video! I love your videos so much and now that my hair is getting out of the transition phase I’ve been going back and watching your old videos to try the techniques again! Do you recommend that twist curl oil? I’ve been wanting to get an oil but I do worry about it weighing down my hair so this stuff sounds good for me

Thank you for watching! So glad you’re enjoying them 🤍 yes it’s definitely a lot more lightweight than my other oils, and it’s more affordable too which is nice 😊

Everyone says to dampen their hair, do you dampen it so when you put in refresh products you hear a squish still? I get so confused on that.
@tabithagingerich2 жыл бұрын
Partly, but it’s more just to 1. Reactivate the curls and 2. Because putting product like that on dry hair would just create frizz and probably make your hair quite sticky! Unless it’s a refreshing spray that is lightweight, and made to be put on dry hair.. hope that helps! 🥰

Is there a way to refresh without having to use a hair dryer/heat tools? I like to avoid heat tools as much as possible, and I usually don't have the patience for them in the mornings.
@tabithagingerich2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! You can just let your hair air dry, it just takes a little longer 🙃

Has your refresh routine changed much over the last year? Any new products that you like more than previous ones used?
@tabithagingerich Жыл бұрын
These days if I’m being honest, I really tend to just refresh by reactivating my products with water! So all I’ll do it spray water in my hair, scrunch and let it dry, and then smooth over some oil for frizz 😊 I feel like my hair stays a lot smoother that way!

👋🏼 hey I’ve been struggling with frizz forever, especially halo frizz, I usually use the not your mothers curl talk dry shampoo then dampen my hair and then I add gel, but then my hair just turns out so frizzy especially sense I leave early for school and it doesn’t dry in time so at school my hair is still damp and sooo frizzy. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Also every time I diffuse my hair gets so frizzy like extremely frizzy I do the same exact thing you do but it turns so bad

a few things that i've changed in my routine that helped me a lot: on rainy/cloudy days i use A LOT more product on my hair or just avoid washing/wetting it at all using oil on your hair overnight a few times a month (you wash it off with conditioner the next morning) applying conditioner to your hair before using shampoo to protect the strings from the shampoo washing way less often in general styling your hair when it's super wet (not just damp) i don't like refreshing my hair the way these girls do on youtube because it doesn't work for me either. damping my hair and adding more product on day 3/4 makes it super heavy and my waves don't form back at all. so i usually just don't do it. i don't know if this is helpfull but hopefully it is!

My hair always gets matted up on my crown around day 3. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
@laurenskubish4002 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you need more moisture on your hair. Hair usually gets matted when its dried out. Make sure you are using a leave in condition maybe? I use some natural leave in with coconut oil in it and my hair is extra curly when I scrunch it and left frizz. My hair used to get super dry and matted before I started using the leave in conditioner. Its helping so much!

Weird question: Does anyone know how to find out if my hair is actually wavy enough for any wavy hair techniques to work? Like my hairdresser said I have a bit of a wave but then most of the example pics for 2a hair are much wavier than my hair. I have seen a tiny result on my short (layered bixie cut) damaged hair, but it's still disappointing and I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time here 😅

Same :/
@lulumarie72 жыл бұрын
If you're hair is damaged (especially from heat straightening) you will need to give it a bit of time to really see a difference. If you've already seen a difference, I'd say go with the simplest technique and the lightest products as possible for a few weeks to months and decide from there. Either way, using a satin or silk pillowcase, using quality products, and drying your hair with a t-shirt are going to make your hair healthier no matter the type. Hope that helps.
@LadyArsenica12 жыл бұрын
@@lulumarie7 Ah, that makes a lot of sense, thank you! It's gonna take a while for the bleached + dyed bits to grow out, but I figured it can't hurt to start taking care of my hair now 🙂

@@LadyArsenica1 I'm so glad I was able to help! I forgot to mention that you should consider deep conditioning treatments or hair masks occasionally. With damaged hair I would try once a week before you wash. Good luck with your journey!
