I hope people hear this and take it to heart. I recently took a class on network/ cyber security and was surprised when 80% of the class had no experience in the industry. Most were chasing money I think. I agree with you, not having the base of knowledge does hamstring you.

Believe and work hard u will achieve there. If this video is in your suggestion that means you started to learn about cybersecurity that means if you start to learn you will learn what all you don't know so learn more and about the basics he is right. We can't swim until we jump into the water. We won't understand what we are gonna do without getting into an actual job.

Totally 1000% agree with you. Try telling this to our education ministry and got shot down. Now school manufacturers "cybersecurity" grads who don't even know the different between a hub and switch

Thank you for pointing this out to me. I’m part of the group of people who wouldn’t realize this fact if it wasn’t told to me.

I just entered cybersecurity thru a bootcamp and now im taking the Sec+😭 im going the hard route bc im not in IT but oh well ill go back and take A+ and net+ for fundamentals. Lmk if anyone has some advice to tell me🥲
@Yodaknowseverything19 күн бұрын
That's the issue with bootcamps, you should not be starting with security+ if you're new to IT. You are better off getting your Comptia A+ and then do networking. These are critical foundations that you need to really understand Cybersecurity. Andrew's latest video goes into this
