My aunt who had been visiting and in another room must have heard. She later asked me how I handled such treatment, why didn't I tell her to F off or where she could stick it? When she acted like a B!tch, why wasn't I calling her out for it? I told my aunt I knew what bothered her the most and when she got like that, I did what I did and GF soon modified her behavior, if she was actually seeking results. I'm not rewarding poor behavior, doing so got you more poor behavior. She noticed my GF had tapered off rather rapidly but never heard me say a single word..what had I done? I just shrugged a "so what" shrug, turned my back to her and left the room, when she followed me and went in, I went to another room, when she followed me there, I walked outside. She didn't get what she was looking for, a tug of war, drama, a fight, something to manipulate into me reacting and turning it into me somehow being the bad guy. She DID want attention from me, I just wasn't going to give her any if she was going to be negative. When she calmed down and started talking civil when I returned...she got my undivided attention and I was willing to listen.
