For future me and anyone else: 1) Just Start (because you can change it if you don't like it 👍) 1a) Don't stress over choices, just keep going 1b) Go with how I'm feeling right now ‼️➡️ don't worry about how I might feel about it later, you persistently tortured perfectionist ⬅️‼️ Deep breath, just enjoy the now 2) Repeat patterns and shapes for harmony 3) Layers! (My personal fav!) Thank you, Froyle! ❤ Love and hugs and healing energy to you!

I confess I did look at you sideways when you said "It's a beautiful day here in New Zealand". Not looking out my window, it ain't. 😆 Another entertaining video from you, plus more of your fabulous laugh. Cracks me up every time. I'm isolating at the mo, so I'll head into my 'lab' shortly and throw artistic caution to the wind. Let's see what happens. BTW: storing paper in colours is a cunning plan. A plan so cunning, you could hang a plank on it and call it a scaffold. I'll give that a crack when organising - yet again - the papers I've thrown paint at with my gel press. Cheers Froyle. 😊

Hi Froyle, I'm fairly new to this and I love what you do, it's so nice to hear a really happy person too. I have a question about the Matt medium, is it a glue and a sealer? I've seen you use it and then go over the top with it, but do you cover the whole lot with it? I'm so looking forward to having fun with collage but am a bit confused about gluing etc. Thanks for making Sundays fun.
@FroyleArt2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I use Liquitex basic Matte gel medium, I often put it over the top because it does seal the papers. So I guess it is a glue & a sealer! All the best, cheers Froyle

I like your imagination & creativity although some of your placement is not to my taste...however, the cackling to yourself really is like chalk on a blackboard. I had to turn the sound off,. Then it was an enjoyable tutorial. Listen to your own tutorial---please, the cackling laughter is so counter productive, in my opinion. . My pet peeve is the arrogance of creators patting themselves on the back-better to have others give compliments to the artist. Really who cares IF THE ARTIST LOVES HIS WORK-it's whether the viewer or buyer LOVES IT...the artists in their ego glorification MISS THE POINT OF ART BEING APPRECIATED BY OTHERS. Could you really imagine Michelangelo saying "wow, that is beautiful:": NO! the ONE COLLAGE above turned out well, except for the extra irregular solid white blotches, which was YOU going one step too far. It was quite appealing as it was, but "you kept going"...I always CRINGE when artists have something great and then they are unable to STOP & THEY MUCK IT UP. jUST my reaction. Your taste is yours, mine is mine. No one is wrong or right, but it is just about preference. I was personal friends with the legendary actresss Bette Davis, & one day she said to me "you must watch your use of superlatives" and cited an example of me going too far. Right she was. Since that day I catch myself doing the same & remember her sage advice. I offer the same advice to YOU--THINK ABOUT IT...Ms. D. was a genius in her way..inimitable..a great mentor .. I was blessed to have known her. Her advice was always SPOT ON. If you view her movies, you will see her artistry as she never stepped over the line, understood subtlety, understatement, etc.....that relates well to any artist in any field.
@FroyleArt Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your opinion, as you say, we all have our own preferences, cheers Froyle
