This is where I am now. Took 14 years. Married 20 years this year. First 6 years, I didn't see the issues as issues but as challenges that every couple face, no one is perfect etc. 14 years of crying, going to therapy to work on myself, so could be better for him and our kids. I still believed in him through it all. Think it was last year that I finally checked out emotionally. I am in a lot of pain today but not about him. I finally feel like I know what I want. I would like a companion. A strong, steady mature man. A loving, firm, fair and gentle leader. I went to therapy to fix me for him, but I am becoming whole for me.

This happened to me. Is was like a light switching off. He did one thing and after all the other things, and I simply had enough. We were together for about 4/5 years. That day I erased every last bit of him from my life. Deleted messages, threw out his stuff, gifts he had given me, erased every photo and blocked his number. Yes, hunny. Please be careful. Some things just aren't worth it. You leaving and not being bothered will hurt him more than anything, but at the end of the day, don't concern yourself with anything other than healing and being healthy and happy once it's officially over. I’m probably older than most of you.But I’d like to say that at one time I hated my ex.And that hatred and anger was holding me down.So I prayed and asked God to remove the hatred out of my heart for him and he did. I ve learned to tolerate him but I’m happy being alone with my 2 kids But at the end of the relationship he call himself getting into the church.Too little too late.

So true. I’m currently going thru this right now. Having kids wit that person doesn’t help. He tries to do whatever to get bck into my good graces but I jus dnt feel the same anymore. I kind of hate it bc we hve so much history. Thru out our course of time I was able to forgive so much. I dnt quite understand the difference now? I think it’s bc he made me not like me, it’s not a good feelin. I love & care for him, wish him nothing but the best. But I really jus want to co-parent in peace, responsibly w/o the drama.
