I always feel that tragedies helped me like a character that much more compared to before it happens, those arcs that make you cry together with the protagonist are always the most impactful and the ones you can easily remember, seeing Luffy loosing his brother Ace always makes me have tears in my eyes.

I remember always using your videos to help improve the content in my manga, I would always ask you to do a redemption arc video because I felt the need to get advice on that part of my story for one of mg characters. So much that I would make fake accounts all asking for a redemption arc video. That was a long time ago but still my bad for doing that. but i wanna say thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos to help people improve their stories

Hahaha I remember that! I was wondering at the time why so many people were asking me to make a redemption arc video. 😂 Now I know why. Don't feel guilty about it, I am glad I made the video since it was a good topic to discuss. I make these videos with the purpose of helping people write their stories, and if they can help even one person improve their story, then it brings me happiness.

Bcuz of this video I really want your opinion for my main characters and their personality traits. These characters are from an original story of mine called Gradient. Kazuya Rekka: Kazuya's more of a grumpy and angry person in general, although he wasn't always like this. He and his younger brother Kazu are big fans of the superheroes in their world, wanting to meet at least one of them personally someday. Sadly, they met the wrong hero who's more of a selfish attention seeker than an actual symbol of justice. This caused Kazuya to become bitter over time and his view of superheroes turned from admiration to pure hatred. Despite his fiery powers and intimidating demeanor, he still wants to help those in need but most people views him as a terrifying villain. Kazu Rekka: The younger brother of Kazuya, unlike his brother Kazu's more kind and gentle. As previously mentioned, he and Kazuya love superheroes when they were kids until that faithful day. While Kazuya was driven to the dark side due to his anger issues and hatred for superheroes, Kazu was strong enough to know that not all superheroes consumed by fame and wealth. As years past by, he trained his hardest to be the best hero he can be to save innocent lives while also trying to bring his brother back to the side of good. Please let me know if there's anything that needs adjusting or if you have suggestions, I would really appreciate it^^

This sounds great! I really like seeing the contrast between these two characters. Having one character be more of a villain and the other being more of a hero sounds like a very interesting storyline. My only suggestion might be to make the younger brother's name a bit different. In my opinion, Kazu feels like more of a nickname of Kazuya, and to create that contrast between these two characters, it may be better to make the name different so it stands out more. But overall, I really love this concept, and I think it would make a really great storyline. 😊

The reason why their names are similar was my original plan for them to be twins but I ended up scraping the idea as I want the difference in personality more obvious- I found out that Kazuya means fire while Kazu means light both in Japanese- but i’ll try to give Kazu a different name-

So, I have a character I am on the fence about developping, with a magical verse I don't know if I want to invest in, but I am quite exited about. Her name is Cordelia, I have yet to think of a surname. She's a magical girl and also a stone bearer. To become a magical girl, a stone bearer must bond with a spirit. The reason why they are mostly teenage girls is because the female body is more adapted to ghostly posession, and the magic they use is so physically taxing that they are unlikely to continue being magical girl after twenty. So, Cordelia lived a very normal life on Earth, even a very nice one, until the untimely death of her father. It activates her own stone, and slowly, there is a series of murders in her town, and the culprit seems to be...her dead father. In his will, he left a note that he wants the stone in his sternum to be thrown in the rapids of a national park. After a skirmish, she's transported to a parralel world. The only way to get an active stone to use as a magical artifact is to kill the stone bearer, which means Cordelia now has a huge target on her back. As a character, Cordelia is reckless yet patient, and she does become very protective of another girl at the magical school she's in, who responds to the name of Liya, who's a cute elf, and secretely the heiress to a powerful family of nigromancers. Also, that magical world does have norms of it's own that she finds archaic, which...yeah. Makes the entire dynamic strange. An interaction I have for them is: Cordelia rushed to the bathroom when she heard bloodcurding screams. There, she saw Liïa, crouching in a corner, any visible skin red and irritated. "You aren't going to class today." said Cordelia firmly. "But...I go through this specifically to attend class. The redness would be gone in hour, this isn't the first time."whimpered Liïa. As for design, Cordelia has a swarthy peach complexion with bright lilac eyes and black hair, that are rather unkept. Her outfit consists of a pair of black straight-cut jeans, a beige tanktop, an oversized men's shirt that is dark grey with whitsh thin stripes forming a check pattern and a light purple cropped sweater crudely knitted. She wears hiking shoes. She was on a camping trip when she was transported into that magical world, and thus, she does wear those more practical, not so pretty clothes. When her father was still alive, she didn't had bangs but a wrapped strand of hair at the front, all in lilac floss, but it had to be cut for the funeral, resulting in shaggy bangs. Later on, she wears the school's uniform and sometimes a nightgown.

I really like this character and your current ideas! I think you should definitely continue with this storyline, because it sounds really interesting. And I think there's a really good opportunity for a unique magical girl story with this! 😊
