I will say this now......I'd neva been out of the USA and had only lived in 2 states my entire 45+ years of life until a couple of years ago.....passport obtained, 2 months later stepped foot in the Philippines, 1 month later MARRIED. Kinda crazy looking back on it all.

Here I am relishing the good vibes, I like your videos. Keep it coming. "The setbacks are nothing compared to the benefits, that lifestyle improvement and freedom that you can achieve." That resonates with me about life in the Philippines. Watching from the US, I get what you're saying about career and lifestyle, I am with you 100%. Happy to see your brother could join you. Enjoy!

You are definitely hitting all the points… I too have spent the better part of my life caring for patients and I love hearing about their experiences in life and how things use to be… many have told me to live your life to the fullest, when you’re health goes down you don’t want to regret what you didn’t do… Keep up the great work…

Welcome Bro. Have fun and be safe. " It's more fun in the Philippines ". I was hard on you on my last comment because you compared US/Canada to the Philippines. I'm glad that you have adapted the lifestyle in the Philippines. Have you found your partner in crime yet (Filipina)? If not... have fun looking for her. She's out there somewhere...

I'm really surprised to see the snippets of your early travels. For some reason, I was under the impression that your recent travels to the Philippines was the beginning of your travels. I was once in the Caribbean and a local said to me that "we work to live, and you Americans live to work." It had a really profound affect on me at that time, and was also the impetus I needed to start my own life of travels. Don't know how long your bro plans to be i "in town," but this ought to be interesting. Enjoy, gentlemen, as I'm sure we will, as well.

Speaking not just as a fellow Canadian but a fellow SW Ontarian as well ... treasure your moments you have with your brother because one day -- hopefully for you in the distant future -- those chances will be lost forever. I lost my brother to a battle with cancer almost 6 years ago. He was my best friend and I miss him dearly. Unlike my other two siblings, bot whom are married with kids and now grandkids, we were both single and went out and explored the world together like you and your brother are doing here. So, my advice is to have as many opportunities like this that you can, for as long as you can. The memories you crate together are memories that no one will be able to ever take away from you.

Awesone video of you and your brother, Chad. I have my flight booked and hotel 1st 3 nights in Manila of my 29 day trip beginning Jan 30th. Thinking of shooting straight down to Dumaguete/Valencia area from Manila and doing some exploring on a scooter. Apo Island and Southern Cebu look like must do's for me! Do you usually pre-arrange accommodations when you move around in the region or sort of wing it when you get to each new place?

now I understand why his perspective is white old single males dominate tourist arrivals in PH. he's staying in Dumaguete and Cebu. there's ton's of young white couples living in PH or frequently visiting PH, but they stay in BGC makati; and just travel to rural Philippines. dumaguete is for single white old males. so understandably, that's the channel's perspective.
