He was singing in french and portugese. It was probably filmed in Cap Vert because he was singing about Casaria Evora, a famous singer.

Your 411 is old already. Well, although your post is only one month old, you are talking about Stromae like he hadn't got back to us yet.. When, in fact, it's already been almost 2 years since he "came back" : After having to take a break after some nasty side-effects of a vaccine against the malaria he had BTW taken for a concert in Rwanda (what a sinister irony), made him very sick, and he also suffered a burnout after more than two years on tour and so on. But, that's all in the past already... Indeed, after 7 years without putting out any new LP of his own (there were 2 singles) , where he "only" - wrote for other singers, and did some collabs' or featuring and/or produced several tunes (with and/or for Orelsan, Coldplay, Lorde, Q-Tip, etc.pp.); - developed his Cie mosaert™& his clothing line's second collection ; - developed his relationship with his gf (the stylist, 4 their cie. mosaert™ clothes, & aesthetics of his vids too) up to marrying her & making a son together... -- Stromae did publish a 3rd LP : "Multitude" in March 2022 !

But Stromae stopped his tour in May 23 due to health reasons. So sad not to hear/see him in Belgium last summer. I hope he will return!

I think it's a shame you don't make some small research about the song at the end of the video, you would have discover the wonderful artist that Cesaria Evora was, understood better the lyrics, and the choice he made by doing the music video this way. And if you don't want to be spoiled by doing some research yourself, I'm sure you could ask people would be happy to do it when they request a song they like =) I'm French and Portuguese, I love this song and Cesaria Evora, which made beautiful songs in both languages ❤

Hi, You were wondering, in another of your Reaction Vids, and were asking about STROMAE going a bit more towards American (i.e. English speaking) audiences... Well, Back in 2015, STROMAE went kinda busking, actually giving one of his famous "Lessons"/"Leçons" (he first used to give on KZbin, at his beginnings) on the rainy streets of NYC. There is still a yt vid available on a channel called @pitchfork showing that. Its title is : Stromae Takes America - "Papaoutai" in New York City . There used to be more footage of that, somwhere in the ether... Also, idk if you knew of his being on the Jimmy Fallon TV Show? I don't remember what year it was.. 2021?
