The "happy synth" intro is a very subtle tribute to one of the OGs of electronic music, Monsieur Jean-Jacques Perrey, who was playing his Ondioline in the 50's when Stockhausen was in his mad scientist lab and Pierre Schaeffer and Pierre Henry were DJing some Musique Concrète with reel to reel tapes and audio effects. And he switched to (not Bach) Moog in the 60's : kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWaUZoeDjt9ohbc 4:55 "MPV" is the abbreviation of "Multi Purpose Vehicle" (in French "monospace" in the song that's why he's speaking about windshield wipers, like a Renault Espace, VW Sharan or Citroën Picasso). Orelsan comes from Normandy where it rains as much as in Belgium. The overcrowded bus stop is about having some _chaleur humaine_ ("human heat") in a cold place, so "il fait quand même beau" (the weather is nice after all). All in all it's somewhat an ode to small/middle sized cities where you can still find some solace with people you know instead of living in a dehumanized big city.

Being Belgian it really made me happy that you said that Stromae is Belgian because the French who are just below Belgium love to make people believe that our artists, scientific racing drivers or any important people come from France while no 😁even the city of New York was founded by a Belgian Pierre Minuit from 1840 to 1900 Belgium was the second industrial power in the world we are a small country but we are important 😂😉

But for sure, a lot of belgian artists have for ambition to succeed face to the french audience and that's logical, we are neighbour, some of you speak french and our culture is similar. From my side, I love a lot of belgians singers, actors, for their very special humor and their talent

@@TheBotzouk94 si tu est français on peut parler en français alors 🤣 bha beaucoup de français avec qui je parle pense que les artiste belge sont français simplement parcequ'ils réussissent en France la meilleure preuve est Laura Laune elle habitait pas loin de chez moi et parcequ'elle as gagne lfit les français sont convaincue qu'elle est française on m'a lâcher le même pour Angel et Damso une personne as réussi à me dire que Jacque Brel était français

@@jonathanpietquin2253 oui je suis français et oui ça peut arriver au début qu'on ne sache pas vraiment la nationalité d'un ou une artistes mais il ne faut à mon avis pas le prendre de cette manière. Ensuite, certains manquent de culture mais bon, je pense que ce n'est pas très grave, l'essentiel est de reconnaitre le talent, d'où qu'il vienne 🙂
