This is how Zoom Translated Captions bridge the language gap

More translations have been added, but some languages do not translate to other languages. For example, English translates to both Spanish and Russian, but Spanish does not translate to Russian and Russian does not translate to Spanish. I also compared a few other tools and Zoom translated captions was the most accurate in normal conversation.

We have are paying for translated captions to our pro account. How does the host enable the translated captions? So far we have enabled the feature in the Account Management - Account Settings - Meeting tab (Advanced). We also were able to select the language pairs there. However, we do not see the option in the User settings. What are the next steps to follow to get to the point were users can actually use the feature? When we start a meeting theses features are not appearing. Thank you for your guidance.

Thanks for a great explanation. I guess there are also apps like Wordly and VerbIt that do this. Are they different from the Zoom add-on (I guess yes), and if so, would you ever consider reviewing them?

Hi Henry, I have not used Wordly nor Verbit. They claim their accuracy is higher, but what I've read seems to be not super recent copy, meaning that I don't know how their accuracy compares to the new Zoom Translated captions accuracy. I've also checked the pricing: Verbit makes custom offers, so I can't comment. Wordly is priced by number of languages and number of users and it gets to a considerable investment. In Zoom only the host needs to have the service enabled, thus making it much cheaper in certain situations (say, you are a consultant and run a large meeting, you only have to buy the license for yourself). That said, I can't provide a proper feedback, as I've not used the Wordly nor Verbit. Any by the way, if they are reading this comment, I'd be happy for them to contact me to produce a video review 😉

the Host dosn´t want the pay for it, can i as normal user use this tool ? i can pay for it but i want to know if the host dosn´t have it only me
