Wonderful presentation. OBS seems a little complex but I'm sure I'll get a grip on it with time. My question? Recording a PowerPoint presentation, how do I move from one page to another on the PowerPoint while on the OBS.

I am an educator and often share data from my browser on Chrome and therefore I've been using zoom but looking for something that can up my video quality. OBS is definitely better but I haven't figured out how to incorporate zoom and keep my quality up or share my screen as simple as zoom. I'm not as much concerned about my video quality when I'm just down in the corner of the video mainly when I'm talking direct to the camera Thanks

Hi and thanks for the question! If I understand your question properly, you would like to have two camera inputs at the same time showing in your zoom camera window. You can do that by using obs ninja, a web tool that allows you to connect remote cameras (including your phone) to obs. This will be the topic of one of my next videos in the coming 1 or 2 weeks. How many monitors do you need to operate to create this comfortably? I'm guessing you could share your powerpoint/camera content through share screen as well vs through virtual camera

I think having 1 extra monitor makes your life easier. Agreed that if you only need to share powerpoint, then going with share screen is the easiest solution. However there are so many more things that you can do with OBS that take your videoconf experience to the next level. This tutorial only covers the basics of installation, user interface and the example of the powerpoint. I have published another video on how to improve webcam quality with OBS and many more will come (add lower thirds, logo, scrolling text, two camera mode, sharing video in better quality than through zoom, and more).
