Panthers fans calling the offside goal rigged need to realize the cats got past the bruins due to two bogus goalie interference calls. At least this offside call was clear as day, heel lifted off the blue line as the puck was still touching it.
@jsquared10137 ай бұрын
Heel "lift" is not a factor anymore, rule was updated to be a "break the plane" kind of thing, but either way it was pretty clear that the skate was fully in the zone while there was still a tiny bit of overlap btw the puck and blue line. For some reason the replay on the US feed on NHL TV kept showing when the puck had just barely entered the zone, instead of a frame or two before that would have been clearer, but even with that freeze frame, you can see the skate is an inch or two into the zone when the puck is maybe 1mm in the zone. Correct call by video review.
@Jordan_6537 ай бұрын
@@jsquared1013 That might be intentional by Floridas broadcasting team lool. I saw some pretty clear views straight out the gate. Close call, but it's clear as day when you slow it down. Not like trying to determine whether or not an airbourne puck barely crossed the line as its flipping and spinning 3 feet above the ice, after having bounced off the goalie at 100mph lol. This ones a little easier to determine and Floridas got nothing to whine about. Edmonton fans know what a *real* controversial offside call looks like haha. This ain't it

@@popkornking If you come back from a 3-0 deficit in the Stanley Cup Final.. you should win. Those teams that lost that game 7.. that would absolutely suck. The Oilers are the better team, the only thing that can stop it is if Bobrovsky steals another one.

I was telling people that Florida was a complete team and this won't go beyond 5 games. Since game 3, Florida probably thought they won it, but now that complete team is nowhere to be seen. I think Oilers may take it now, but we'll see. Hoping for a great game 7 as a neutral.

If the Oilers win, this would have been the greatest choke since 1942. But if the Panthers win, the Oilers would have also choked this series away too after winning 3 straight. Regardless, one team is going to choke and make history. What a series this has been!

I believe. Win one more. Game 4 was for pride, game 5 was for respect, game 6 was for Paul Coffey, Lowe, Nugent Hopkins, oil workers, fans and Gagner. Game 7 is for the Oilers players McJesus, Bouchard, Hyman breaking, Draisetal and their team. Chance to make history.
@Keon7537 ай бұрын
ideally and hopefully. I'd say its also for Roloson, and Smyth and the 06 squad too. If Roloson didn't get hurt in that final in 06 I firmly believe the Oilers would have won it and not lost it in 7. Well the chance for revenge of that oilers team from the past manifests now and in epic fashion. Skinner *fingers crossed* has looked healthy and on task, with zero fear, ice water for blood these last three games. Mcdavid dominated two games and force fed his squad hope and force them to acknowledge we aren't dead yet and they responded beautifully, taking over even without him hitting the score sheet in game six. Every part of a potential Monday Night Miracle is in place. Now comes the best yet worst part....The waiting. The dragging of days until we get to that singular 60 minute (or more if OT is required) moment of time. Its gonna be wild. I'm already planning for missing work on Tuesday xD

One things Florida has right now is everyone is phrasing this series as an amazing oilers comeback and not a Florida collapse.
@Keon7537 ай бұрын
Two things can be equally true. Florida has to adjust and they still havent. But this is all will. From the captain near single handedly mauling the cats in two games (in games 4 and 5 Mcjesus had 8 points. Just in those two games *alone* he's a point per game player in this seven game series. Which is wild!) To his teammates buying in whole sale tonight and getting it done even as he was held pointless and was utterly contained. It is an amazing comeback, an all timer in what it means to truly believe in the phrase *never say die*. It is also thus far a story of how the Panthers may not have the quick fire adaptability a team needs to hoist Lord Stanley's Cup. There is always one series a champion faces, at least one, where they need to pivot some part of how they play on the fly, with very little time to practice, adjust and implement new systems or new strategies. The oilers have had it a couple times this playoff run including this final. The panthers haven't really had this issue yet. Til now.
