Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 (Japan time) . Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. That was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍

Yes, it was insane! I just saw them perform together at FOX_FEST in Japan. BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy gave us the happiest and the most fun five minutes of our lives. Yes, the arena full crowd went nuts, jumping up and down, shouting Ra Ta Ta Ta! and Ooh!, Ooh! There was something magical going on there. I am getting withdrawals now. The joy should never stop here. All kinds of shit happens in the world. The world needs to experience this amazing collaboration now.🤘🦊🤘

It is a very true collab, only it’s out on the BM site on Saturday EC joined Babymetal during their set at FOX_Fest; same with Leave it all Behind being with F Hero and Kingslayer being with BMtH. I agree that Ratatata is as close to 50:50 as you can get

If I was listening to it out of context just going by the songwriting, lyrics, and song structure I'd say it's absolutely an EC song that wouldn't feel out of place in their regular catalog if you changed the duet and the Japanese parts and had Nico and Kevin do the vocals for the entire thing. That said, the Babymetal parts are also very much Babymetal, and considering the context of BM doing a lot of big collabs recently, their greater reach and fanbase, and BM having been spotted at an EC concert in 2022 or 23 (not quite sure), it's fair to assume that the initiative for this very likely came from the BM side resulting in a best of both worlds kinda deal. Personally, I don't think it matters. I'm just hyped that I'll get to see both bands play at Rock am Ring in two weeks and I absolutely hope that they'll pop up on each others' stages so I can see them play this song together twice. \o/
