The "H" when the elevator was going up could present Heaven instead of Hell, Stray kids made this track in pre-debut that's why it represents the struggles they went through and them going out from the training days with the hope of finally debuting, the Helevator hence represent them going up from hell (training) to heaven (debut) My interpretation for the last imagery in the MV would be they were looking up because finally they reached heaven (debut) but now the real world is facing them (up on the top) represented by the city, that's why it's (red) dark like hell again, the debut just means the beginning of another reality with many struggles as well so there aren't really escaping Hell they are going up to another hell by chasing their dreams. the lyrics, music and visuals are really dark and hopeful at the same time it's amazing that literally it's up to you to interpret the elevator as going up to heaven or hell !!!

@@ninnina8056 that's possible too, I just said heaven because its opposite of hell and Changbin himself suggested to add an "H" to "elevator" (original title of the song) to represent they are going up from hell, It's crazy that many interpretations are possible just because Changbin decided to add an "H", the beauty behind it is that anyone can interpret it as they want

A lot of reactors tend to brush them off and focus on the song (u know cuz they can be distracting cuz they're so good lol) but when you pair their lyrics and the song together it makes the song 10 times better! Even Minho, he rapped in this song for the FIRST time ever and he did it so good! Not just this song but in every song of them is a really deep story behind and it just makes everything more special. But yeah this song was sooo beautiful and i couldnt help but get to know about them and show support. I'm an ARMY +ATINY + STAY. Love them all and their songs.
@jojo.joanna4 жыл бұрын
Warning: Long Comment Considering Miroh is next, it's interesting you noticed how there's a button for "hell" in the elevator and they reach the "H" floor. "Miroh" is a play on words for "maze"' in Korean with an added 'h' on the end which symbolizes that they either reach heaven or hell at the end of this journey. Finally someone appreciates Minho's rap! He actually started out as a vocalists but on their survival show he was criticized for his singing and recommended to take on a rap part. But now, it's clear that pretty much everyone in Stray Kids can both sing and rap very well (seriously!). In Hellevator, Jisung who does the second part of the second verse is also the member who hits the high note before the second chorus. Hellevator in particular is a meaningful song (as with all Stray Kids songs) in that it was their first release as a group of nine and they performed it as their first mission on their survival show. Another fun fact is that the group of 9 trainees was actually formed by their leader Bang Chan, rather than by the company. The survival show was basically a test for them to prove each member was worthy of debuting. On the topic of doing things by themselves, their entire discography to date (8 albums if you count SKZ 2020 and an OST and anime OP/ED) has been written by three of the members dubbed 3RACHA. They also help produce all the songs Stray Kids release. This gives them a unique sound as well as meaningful lyrics where they hope to convey positive energy and comfort to their listeners. Their debut of District 9 centers around this idea of their music being a safe haven of sorts for people who are going through hard times or want a place to be their true selves. If you thought the rapping in Hellevator was crazy, definitely check out District 9 or Maze of Memories (amazing beat switch up) You pointed out that their logo has a cool font -- it's actually designed by their leader Bang Chan and is basically his handwriting 😂 Anyway sorry for the long comment! I've watched quite a few of your videos but I don't usually comment since there are so many already, but I'm so excited to see you delve into more Stray Kids. Hope you have a nice day!

Oops I forgot to mention, if you think 9 people dancing together is crazy you should DEFINITELY check out Seventeen. They have 13 members (not to intimidate you, you'll get used to it) and are known as the kings of synchronization and choreography in general. They form such unique images with all those members and have a very high average level of dancing abilities. They also self-compose and self-choreograph a lot of their work. Highly recommend Don't Wanna Cry as a start!

So StrayKids was formed in a competition with members personally selected by leader BangChan which is very strange for a Kpop group, I would also like to add that this is actually a pre-debut song, meaning this song was created before they knew if they were even going to make it through the competition and then two of the members were actually disqualified in the competition a little while after this but luckily they were able to join the group in the end. Original trio 3racha is a producing and rap sub-group responsible for the making of all their songs. Their lyrics usually display the struggles they went through during that uncertain time in the competition and the lack of support from friends and family. They also often use the concept of the pains of growing up. As many of them are minors with the youngest being I think 16 in this song.

Woojin was the main vocalist but he left the group for personal reasons in 2019. (Also the eldest but as he left the group he isn't anymore) Lee Know was a backup dancer for BTS. He's the main dancer, a rapper and vocalist (they actually can all rap and sing and has nice dancing skills) Changbin is the main rapper, songwriter, compositor and producer. Hyunjin is the visual, rapper, singer and main dancer. Han came from Malaysia, he's the lead rapper, a vocalist, songwriter, compositor and producer. (Also has a good English) Felix is Australian too, he's the lead dancer, second visual, rapper and vocalist. (Before joining skz his Korean wasn't good and he learned for 3 years I think?) Seungmin is the lead vocalist I.N is the youngest and a vocalist. The group was formed by Bang Chan, JYP let him pick the members to create a survival show in which JYP decide to eliminate or not the members. They produce their own songs and make their own choreographies. They talk about a lot of topics like mental health, depression, school, fear of growing up etc. I recommend you to watch and listen to these songs: -Grr -District 9 -Mirror -Voices -Insomnia -Awkward Silence -I am YOU -Get Cool -Miroh -Victory Song -Maze of Memories -Boxer -Chronosaurus -Side Effects -Mixtape #1, #2, #3 and #4 -Double Knot -Levanter -Astronaut Am not lying to you, they are insanely amazing. Hi thank you so much for reacting to Stray Kids ! Thye're a group who produce and write all their songs on their own ! The members were also chosen by the leader himself (which is unusual because most of the time in kpop it's the company that chose the members) they're SUPER talented and their rapline is INSANE ! Pretty much all members can rap actually and the rappers can sing very well too A really good example to see their two opposite sides would be to react to both Maze of Memories (where they all rap) and Neverending Story (where they almost all sing) together Hellevator was the first song they ever wrote/composed all together and it was before their official debut they have a subunit called 3racha which is composed of the leader and two main rappers and they're the ones who are in charge of producing and writing the songs, 3racha had a few mixtapes they did by themselves as trainees, but hellevator is the first song they did as a 9 members group District 9 is their debut song ! and they used to be 9 but last year one member left so they're 8 now~ Stray kids are really well known to have a lot of important and relatable messages in their songs in general. Personally one of the main reasons I got into stray kids when I wasn't into kpop at all before is because of how much I can relate to them, they really speak about such important messages that you rarely see anyone else do it, I was so happy when I found those messages in their songs. And the fact that they wrote these songs themselves and also went through everything they're talking about makes it even more special I'm not sure if you put the captions on or not but if you didn't it's always worth to put them on with skz music if you want more songs with great messages (my favorite ones from them tbh) I recommend : Voices (the performance video not the special video if you want the subtitles), 19, M.I.A, Grow up, Mixtape #3, Chronosaurus if you want hype songs I recommend: Miroh, Victory song, Boxer, Rock they also have cheerful/cute songs like : Get Cool, Awkward Silence, Mixtape #1 Lastly if you want to react to a guide to them I highly recommend this guide it's the favorite of the fandom : "An introduction to stray kids 2020" by hyunjin nation : kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoqypJyepcmBfbc, in most the other guides they use a lot of old videos and only show the very very basics of each member, while in this one you can get to see at least the personnality of each more clearly and get to know them more, it's around 35min but definitely worth watching/reacting to ! and if you're planning to react to it I just want to say it's totally fine if you need to pause to read things, we would prefer that rather than not pausing and missing informations Sorry for the long comment,I hope you'll react to more from them soon & have a great day !

Stray Kids' songs always have good meaning and theories. Bang Chan (the leader and the producer of their songs) once said about their lyrics: "we give you the answer, and you make the question."

Here is a list of songs you should react to with different styles to them: 1. Chronosaurus 2. Double Knot (they have the normal Korean version and English. Both videos are amazing) 3. MIROH 4. Get Cool 5. I am YOU 6. TOP (newly released as their comeback is next month) 7. Spread My Wings 8. Levanter (they also have an English version of this too) 9. District 9. 10. Voices These are personally some of their best works and the visuals for each of these videos is very unique. One thing I love about Stray Kids is that their style is never the same in every song. They also don’t have love songs. Their music is more based around identity crisis, struggles with anxiety and mental illness, and embracing who you are. They deserve so much more recognition that what they are getting. You probably won’t see this but these are some of their more popular songs and they’re that way for a reason. Much love and support! 💙 (ps: They were 9 and now they are 8. Woojin sadly left)

I don't know if someone already tell it in the comment but they entirely produced this song at their pre-debut, that is really amazing!

Ahh Hellevator... that song is one of the most important ones in my whole life. When I discovered it I struggled my hardest with depression and this song suddenly made me feel understood. I'm not the only one who feels like that and even if my situation seems hopeless I have to keep fighting because better days will come. It's especially meaningful since this song, like all of their songs is completely self produced and written. Honestly I don't think they have a single song in their discography about cheesy love topics. They always try to talk about topics which their fans can relate to and things they struggle with themselves

Stray Kids are one of the first groups that caught my attention quickly. I love their meaningful messages and their impressive lyrics about mental health, self-doubt, anxiety, and depression. I am really happy that I found them because their music speaks to me and millions of other people around the world. They deserve more recognition because their talent is beyond this world. I think that you should also react to Side Effects, District 9, Double Knot, and Levanter. I hope you become a stay because we will welcome you with open arms!

Hellavator was the first song they ever released, so they started off with nine members. Back in October of last year, so 2019, the oldest member and main vocalist Woojin left the group for personal reasons, so they have 8 members now. Thanks for the reaction! You should check out Levanter or Side Effects next. They are two of my favorite title tracks

PICK ANY SONG OF SKZ YOU WANT CAUSE EVERY SONG IS AMAZING!! i love your reaction! just remember they're self-produce their songs and their leader Bang Chan compose their beats yes hellevator is a pre-debut song, their first ever song as stray kids, all written and composed by Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han (Jisung). From the song they talked about their way up (hard times being trainees and getting words from people that can drag them down) which feels like in a hell, so that way up they call as Hellevator (hell+elevator), but at the end of the song/mv they finally up in their penthouse/better place (which means their debut).

Actually in the chorus they're not all singing it. It's specific people in the group who are singing the "I'm on a Hellevator" parts. The person who made the lyric video probably just didn't know at the time they made it and it was probably too late to change it. They have a reality show called Stray Kids as well which is basically them training and working super hard in order to debut. The leader of the group (Chan) chose all of the members by himself and his manager (JYP) basically told him that he did a good job choosing the guys, but he still wants to put them through some tests not exactly guaranteeing they would all debut under Stray Kids. There were other guys before that where friends of Chan and they were in this group that he decided to make, but for so many years (6 years to be exact) he had to watch all of his friends either leave his group and give up or some of them moved up and debuted with other groups. Until he found the perfect 8 friends that in the end finally debuted all together with him. It all started with Chan, Jisung (Han), and Changbin. They have a sub-unit called 3racha and they are know as the music producers of the group. They write their own lyrics for their songs and even produce the sick beats that you hear. Then little by little they started finding their friends to later become Stray Kids as a whole. Till this day 3racha still mostly are the ones who are writing the lyrics and producing the songs and they get some help here and there but basically Stray Kids are a self producing group. They basically like to do everything by themselves 😅 you even have Minho(Lee Know), who is their Main Dancer in the group, who choreographs almost all of their choreographies. This explanation that I gave is not so well and there are probably people who could explain it better. I could have explained it better but it's pretty late right now and I'm dying to sleep. 😅 What I was originally saying though is that some of the people in the group sing the chorus parts individually but get this it's not just the vocalists. I talked about 3racha but I forgot to mention that they are basically an all rap sub-unit but they can all actually sing and all of them sing very well. I forgot the order that it goes in but you have maybe Jisung(even though he's one of the main rappers of the group) singing the first "I'm on a hellevator" then it maybe goes to Woojin who is a vocalist then Chan(as being part of the group because they have so many rappers in the group, and even though he is rapping in 3racha he decided to be a lead vocalist in Stray Kids.) then maybe Jisung(Han) again or Jeongin(I.N)and I know for sure that the last "I'm on a Hellevator" of every chorus is sung by Changbin(also main rapper of the group)...yes Changbin the rapper whom you said was rapping so fast in My Pace(or was it in this video??). Anyways I apologize once again for this very terrible explanation. 😅😓😢 I hope you can at least somewhat understand it..😣

This was the first song I ever heard by this group, I'm still pretty new to them but I love groups that make their own music because that hard work is so genuine and it shows me they want to be heard not only for their voices but also for their messages (nothing wrong with just wanting to be heard for your voice either though!), and I gotta say that I giggled at how childish "I'm in a hellevator" sounds BUT it's so good? It gets across a message, fits with their name, and the song is so well produced and catchy. This is the song that made me think "Well I'm not into new groups, but this one I should keep an eye on" and proceeded to check out their other music.

I scrolled down a little and I couldn't find anyone who already explained it, so here it goes lol The term "Hellevator" is obviously a mash between the words Elevator and Hell. And it represents how a lot of trainees have to go through hell just to get to the top (and most times once they're there, they still go through hell). So basically is about their hardships trying to debut as Stray Kids, things they had to hear and feelings/thoughts they had. But at the end they were able to go up. Someone said that they weren't going "in" the hellevator but out of it. And it's not like that... Is more like they had to get *in* the hellevator to be able to go up (reach their dreams). Hope my explanation is somewhat understandable lol
