After the news of their bassist Reita passing away, I've been looking at reactions to their songs. So happy to see people still discovering them. The members have said they will continue for him because he tweeted "I hope The gazettE will last forever" a few hours before he died. RIP Reita.

"i don't even know what this is, this is the gazette" is the best way to describe their style. they have this tendency to mix up a bunch of elements from all sorts of genres into what they're making, sometimes they even cram it all into one album (like stacked rubbish or beautiful deformity, every song hits differently) and that's why i absolutely love them. they do raise the bar really high

My favourite band ever! Thank you so much for this reaction. :) They formed in 2002 and this song is from album "Stacked Rubbish" from 2007. Mix of music genres in this song is a little weird, but they made it so well, amazing song! They have many different songs, they using many different genres and styles in their music, have even heavier songs than this one, really heavy. About frontman, it's Takanori Matsumoto, known as Ruki. Funny fact is that before The Gazette he was drummer, he didn't sing at all, but Uruha (guitarist) said that Ruki has nice voice, so he will be their vocalist. :D He wasn't good at the beggining, I'm impressed how much work he put in this, he is incredible singer now. About band's name, at the beggining it was ガゼット, in romaji Gazetto, and they changed it to The Gazette, but if I'm correct, they still introduce themselves in interviews etc as Gazetto. :D But you can saying just The Gazette, without that last "e". ;) About their image, makeup, hairstyle etc, it's Visual Kei, japanese movement as music, fashion and subculture created in early 80s. If you like when bands using many different genres in their music and even mixing it together, Visual Kei is definitely for you. ;) They just love experiments with music. But Visual Kei have some specific elements not for everyone, for example visual side, not everyone can stand when guys looks pretty, have makeup etc, some even looks like girls, I mean have dresses etc., and there are many theatrical elements, for example in clean vocals and in musicians' behavior. But I love it. :) I hope you will react to more The Gazette and to some other Visual Kei bands.

Gazette is the band who can mix Heavy Metal, Rock, Punk, Blues & Ballads You need to check their old & new song, they changed a lot. YES Ruki is the real front man. Nice reaction btw, I suggest to checkout Headache Man for banger! Or their rock n roll song Silly God Disco

Thanks so much for reacting to my fave band!! The frontman, RUKI, is such an amazing singer! You can look at UNDYING, DOGMA, BLINDING HOPE, or older stuff like 13 Stairs, Derangement, etc. But I suggest you watch them live; this is where they shine 😊

Filth in the beauty is pretty good for an introduction to the Gazette. I listened to Chizuru and Reila and I was hooked. I was there for all this as it released. I’m still searching every few weeks for a new album. I wish they released music as often as they used to. Best Japanese band of all time. Underrated.

This is an old ass song, but still one of my favorites. This and A Crowd of Rebellion M1917 is probably my top older j-rock songs ever. Maybe an old Miyavi track too, but that's even earlier than this stuff.

One of my favourite bands though i like their heavier stuff so my personal favourites I’d recommend: [duex (live), ugly, dogma & falling] all of them have great videos that add to the experience but the lives are just special. My first time watching this channel i saw you may need to deal with something mentally or something of that sorts for your mental health as it is very important so i hope that all goes well for you :)👍

You're working a little hard . I watch too many BTS reactions lol just rock out without the dramatics. Dir en grey is the hardest j-anything, but I follow them with these boys and D'espairsray as my three j-loves. Look into the dir en grey vinushka androgyny live for a serious progrock performance with MEANING. Don't go near BTS lol. You'll find them when and if you need them, and there's very little rock there to be had.
