As you should. I'm a fan of baseplates on Strat bridge pickups. Novak and Fralin both offer them, and Novak has a bridge pickup specifically made to get that Tele sound. I have it in a partscaster, and I'll no longer have any use for a regular Strat bridge pickup (which admittedly I've never really liked). It has both snap and snarl now.

Nice review. Pluses, I like the output plug on the side of the guitar instead of on top. Tone sounds great. Minuses, the shape of the pickguard looks odd, especially near the neck pickup.

The neck pickup tone is ripping with singing harmonics, and that's my favourite S-type tone. Definitely sold on this. Love my Wingman, think I'm going to sell my Jazzmaster, since I prefer the Wingman, and order one of these. And sell my Strat if I prefer the Celestor to it. I mostly only use my Strat for that neck tone, and this sounds better than my Strat on neck pickup. The white looks the best, because you don't get shadows on that top back angle as much as on the blue. I wonder how the body weight compares to a Strat, when this is Mahogany. My Wingman is very comfortable, neither too light or too heavy, feels better weighted than most of my guitars. But, it's a smaller body than the Celestor, but then maybe this is thinner than a Stratocaster, and then theres the comfort cuts which might reduce weight? I hear more Telecaster in this than most Strats too, especially the bridge, but the middle settings remind me of my Vintera 60s modified too.

A very impressive instrument. Elements of their other guitars have been cleverly transferred to this guitar to give their brand a recognizable identity . In short it looks like a Baum. Most of their guitar have this very attractive headstock. They should phase out their 3 a side headstock to solidify the look and give them a single trademark like identity. THANX as usual for bringing important product to our attention and as always long, long before any other reviewers catch up to you. Anyone just visiting here today should Subscribe. It is one of very few on-line choices to stay abreast of the cutting edge.

The MM neck is definitely smaller and has a different profile as you go up the neck. The Baum has a more 'standard' profile but is still super comfortable

More compression in the mix! Never enough!!! forget we record on computers, That its 2024 not 1969. All of the compressors all the time and don't soundscape around that baseline...at all ever.. For any reason. A guitarist should have a minimum of 7 compressors on the pedal board always. Regardless of gig. And light them suckaz up. Allways. Never enough compression. Compression. Compression compression
