Shawn you need to switch to reaper to reap the full benefit of your plugins and the reaper DAW is very cheap with tons of tutorials to get you started. It's the best daw for audio quality and mixing.

The Iron and the SPL PQ would be the first bits of hardware I'd get if I had the money. As far as plugins go, this, the SHMC Class A and the Elysia Alpha Comp are a brilliant trio and all do something different. EQ's - PQ, Knif Soma and Amek 200 (GML 8200/Sontec). The Tomo LISA is great too and is totally unique in the way it works. Love your no-BS review style - it's an British thing I think (from sunny Notts myself) Will hopefuly catch the stream, and I echo the sentiments of Aviated 👍🏼

Yank here who’s just discovered this channel, and feel exactly the same way. Perhaps, in this ever-shit-cluttered world, the need for no-BS info and energy is universal.

I liked this plugin on vocal bus specially when oversampled in reaper, it sound so smooth when oversampled and it gets fat.

I've read all the Gearspace discussions on this and tested it myself... there's nothing going on that i can hear... i can see it using plugin Dr in some frequencies you'll never hear...but that's true of lots of gear. With around 1.5 to 2dB of compression, this thing sounds great to my ears. :)

@@StudioLife101 good point- unless youre whacking the shit out of the signal, its probably just fine. Theres a shootout between the plugin ans the hardware and it holds up nicely. Hardware has a bit more of a soundstage as one would expect, and perhaps some more detail (or whatever). Overall very worthy

Try IRON at 4x or 8x OS and it gets very close to the hardware.

How do You OS IRON?
@Macaroni1082 ай бұрын
@@jordisonjr1 I do it with Reaper's built in OS options, or you can use ddmf's SuperPlugin or MetaPlugin or BlackCat's Patchwork.
