This is Maguindanao - Cotabato City

Cotabato City, Maguindanao and the surrounding area is known for a lot of negative things...
Now... I have to be realistic. If you are a foreign national you need to not only be educated on your surroundings in this part of Mindanao, but I strongly suggest (in fact you really must have connections, please don't put yourself at risk) you only go to Cotabato or Maguindanao if you are with local people who know the area and who you really trust. As beautiful as Cotabato and Maguindanao can be... there are also unfortunately some areas of instability and people who do bad things.
But...
That certainly doesn't mean that there are not a lot of SUPER GOOD PEOPLE and things to experience and appreciate!
Yup, I completely understand why Cotabateno's are proud to call this area of the Philippines there home! There are some incredibly friendly people, there is some extremely vibrant culture, and the environment can really be beautiful!! I learned that on my first ever trip to this area of the Philippines!

what i've love you as a vlogger Kulas is putting Philippines as the whole puzzle and putting urself as a piece of it to fit in. So far, u'r the only one that I'd see it that way. it's a beautiful place period...but it's NOT a beautiful place to live...it's quite risky and dangerous there...people can't go on a normal business there for a month or two compared to other cities in the philippines...unless i see real development there, then still is not a great city to live in...development there can only be achieved by peace through federalism

Oh my beloved Cotabato. I was born here ,Cotabato city has a big place in my heart. I love how diverse and its definitely a melting pot for most of Filipino tribes and people from different cities and provinces. Its crazy, that its the only place in Mindanao were in people uses Tagalog as their main language, coz most people there speaks different dialects so in order for them to understand each other, they use tagalog as main language but its kinda like a “broken tagalog” not like Luzon’s tagalog. Thank you for featuring this place on your vlog. It kinda give the place and the people that lives there, a positive energy. Thanks Kulas.
