I live in Boothbay Harbor for a while 30 years ago. As they say in Maine "wicked good" place to live or visit.

Maine looks so beautiful. The fact that it's a coastal state makes it even more beautiful.

I helped my dad sail his boat to maine in 2004. our first port was booth bay harbor. when we arrived , it was august, I never saw so many lobster pots! they were beautiful, painted all different colors, but I was like "dad, we aren't bringing the boat in there"! it was like a mine field. but my dad was an excellent helmsman and we made it. I bet my best friend, when we arrived that I would jump in the water. I did. it was COLD!. we went to dinner, when we came back, the tide had gone out and the ramp to the floating dock where our dingy was , was like a ski jump , straight down! in the morning, lobster boats (like pick up trucks of the sea) were Chris crossing the harbor , jeering at eachother as they did their work. we made way and headed out on towards Camden Maine. what a beautiful place. Love Maine !!!

I’m moving to Maine in 2021. I never really saw myself living in a coastal state but that low population and stuff to do outside got me.

born and raised in Boothbay until I moved in 2011. I worked and played at the golf course for the Seahawks for over 4 years. I would have to say this isn't the true Boothbay that everyone knows and loves. This is a great piece but I wish they represented real Boothbay Harbor, not just one persons vision of what Boothbay should be. It breaks my heart to watch this.

This really gives a genuine flavor of Maine. Born and raised Kennebunk, but in Colorado now. This makes me nostalgic for my home. Excellent work all around you guys.

I have grown up going to Boothby Harbor in the summer and all of the true locals the golf hate club and coulomb
@joshuapinkham29254 жыл бұрын

I heard someone bought boothbay harbor and shut so many places down. Is that true ?😔

They were referring to the guy in these videos - Paul Colombe - he actually rescued Boothbay, it was kind of in shambles before and he has spent a ton of money revitalizing it. Lots of locals hate him though, they just want to loaf around and let it die

Do they have bears there?

Capably hosted, but unfortunately, this is an example of how NOT to do these things. Obviously overly focused on promoting one guy’s businesses. Beyond that: Many of us, when we travel to small towns, want to experience the local history; literature, art, and music; the streets and buildings; nature and animals; the charm, in short. Not just golf and expensive meals, which have more appeal for a very specific subset of moneyed visitors.

Hi Mark - this episode obviously doesn't represent everything that Boothbay has to offer. We highlight a wide variety of local businesses and activities all over the state - our episode from this season explores some other facets of the town: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3jEaYR_aa1_laM

I am unsubscribing. This seems like an extended paid ad placement for local businesses. Guess I will head back and watch old Jack Perkins and Maine Production videos.

Brian Dale why are you being like that? She did a good job! And I appreciate her mentioning these cool places cause out all the time I spent there, I never went to those places. So I want to try them now.

I 100% agree. I was born and raised there. The popcorn was actually local but everything else is this fake persona of Coulombs world, a guy that isn't from there. This was a one big tourist ad to try to get rich white people to visit and spend money at his establishments.

spot on ...it's either a beer palce or a popcorn place. Nothing maine about stuff like that. Beer/popcorn etc. .... the same in all 50 states
