It's really coming along guys! Your hard work will pay off down the road. Smart that you marked all of the framing on the panels. It looks so fresh! I like the brad nailer too. Are you doing quarter round moldings in the corner seams? What an improvement!
@nickroush
@nickroush Ай бұрын
Glad I marked the frames, we need those studs as we move forward with the build. Still haven’t figured out the trim. We have plenty of gaps partly due to human error and the whole thing being out of square, so we’ll need something to cover up those edges.

Don't want to second guess your reno choices, but I'm surprised that when you had it all stripped down that you didn't run power to the overhead vent. Understand if you want to keep the 'vintage' vent, but if you ever changed your mind in the future, it would be helpful to have wiring already strung up to it. You'll find that even a vent with a small fan blade will help move air through, especially with those antique louver windows that won't allow for a lot of natural air flow. Makes a HUGE difference in comfort even in small trailers like that. I replaced my non-powered vent in my small tent trailer with a MaxxAire Deluxe (which you can also run in the rain), and I wish I did it long ago!
@sdn40
@sdn40 Ай бұрын
Might be too late - but look into a Fantastic Fan. They are a staple in RV's and campers. Bulletproof. Pulls air in or pushes air out

Such amazing provress!! Not to be a Debbie Downer because your patches look SO good, but pop rivets (the kind you used) are not waterproof since there's a hole in the middle of them (learned this when rebuilding our trailer), so you may want to seal over the holes on the rivets with something, maybe like the RV roofing tape would do the trick? Good luck on your build!

@Amanda Outside, y’all are doing such a great job! One suggestion I have is relates to water and leaks. Even if you’ve used butyl tape, gaskets or seals, and even if the new rivets look good and tight, make absolutely sure everything is sealed by using Eternabond tape over all the seams. You won’t regret it and it will serve you for years to come. MUCH more completely and stronger sealing and much longer lasting than caulk or silicone. I’m really enjoying your progress and I’m so excited about seeing you enjoying your new home on the road. 👏👍😁

Might want to have the wheel bearings checked and packed with grease. Also stow a spare tire. Question: In your camping videos you have an electronic device on your pack strap. Is that a walkie talkie or GPS, or what? We are new to the channel and are loving it. We have 2 campers and were full-time 8 years. Blessings.
