The coconut price initially she was saying fifteen thousand (IDR 15.000) not fifty thousand (IDR 50.000) you heard it wrong Harry. She was being fair by not charge the international price to you, 15.000 rupiah for a coconut is a fair price and it's a local price. You gave her IDR 50.000 and she thought you gave her more for a tip that's why she kept it.

Fun Vlog as always! It reminds me of my school trip day, sometimes our english teacher encourage us to speak with foreign tourist at school outing to practice our speaking comprehensions. Also the 'troublemaker' boy did not being rude to you, he just being cheeky towards his friend by answering your question by his friend name (I assume Abas is his friend's name) when you ask what's the name of the animal, I guess he is the joker of the group, that is why the other friend laugh, and the are not laughing at you. Also teh coconut seller said the price is 15K (lima belas) not 50K (lima puluh), but I guess she assume you gave the change as a tip as you just walks by

Thank you Harry for wanting to understand our shortcomings, I suggest Harry to use google translate for some time because Indonesians still need to learn a lot of English. so that Harry and Indonesians could communicate with each other well, because the coconut seller gave a normal price of 15,000 Rupiah, when Harry heard it was 50,000, yes I understand it was the seller's mistake who mispronounced it in English. the seller just thought the 50,000 rupiah you gave him was a tip for him, so actually the salesman had told Harry that it was 15,000 rupiah.
