Im from the UK and have lived in Jakarta for 6 years. Indonesians are the most friendly and warm people you will ever meet. Even in these "slums" it may look scary but I can wak through wearing jewlery and feel very very safe. The crime rate is very low! God bless Indonesia

It was really sweet of you to gift the lady the money - I beleive she was making a prayer for you - don't understand the local dialect but her daughter said "Ameen" at the end which loosely translates to " Oh God please accept our prayer".. And I also just noticed your on nesrly 320k subscribers - wow congrats - that's a huge jump from when I last checked - that's fab! Im thinking back to when you first started and you were in a vlog with Mac and you was quite shy - I think it might have been Dubai.. You should come to Malaysia, just a few hours from Jakarta. Might have a better experience, Indonesia and Malaysia are slightly different but still same in terms of food, language and culture. Not gonna lie, but Sg, the PH and Malaysia are the only nation with good English speaking among South East Asian country.
