After contemplating for weeks, it has been on my heart to make this video. I feel that I need to share my truth with everyone in order for them to see who I am. To see that bad things happen. To see that people can change. To give you all a glimpse at my life. Where I grew up, how I rebelled, how I paid, and how I'm trying to live as a better person.
If you know anyone facing a similar circumstance, please hit me up. I will help if I can.

That is a lot of trauma to deal with. You really are brave to share it. I've been to a few prisons, I performed plays at them, to encourage the people there to look forward, to remind them that no matter what they are loved. It was with a Christian theater company called Covenant Players. I really respect your honesty and your humility.

Luke, are you on Facebook, I would really like to connect. I am learning digital with a GH3&4. I used to be a 16mm independent film-maker years ago... but am doing a come-back to film. I live in Australia. Also have you seen the thefrugalfilmmaker on youtube. I dig the inspiration and DIY clues found on making stuff. It's carries a culture similar to how it was once in the pre-video days for film-making.

I can relate to a lot of parts of your story. I'm from a family of 6 kids, we went to private school, and when I was 11 we moved from a suburb to a rural area a few states away. I was bitter for years from being bullied, constantly switching schools, and losing everything I owned to Hurricane Katrina a year after we moved. I had friends in high school, but one half abandoned me and the other half started doing drugs, and I ended up hanging out with them. Between the ages of 16-18, I ended up getting into a lot of trouble. I was an emotional mess wrought with anxiety and heartbreak after I barely graduated high school (I had gotten into a huge amount of trouble 3 days before my senior year was going to end; they didn't let me walk for graduation and seeing my parents cry as a result scarred my soul to this day). I continued to make huge mistakes into my early 20s and ended up dropping out of college. For the last 4 years I've been working on improving myself and I'm on the path of being a content creator like yourself. I found you from your Vivitar lense video when searching for upgrades to my Vixia HF R800. Now I'm here after watching this video because I have to let you know that I appreciate your story so much, as well as the positive and sound advice you offer with it. I've made so many mistakes in my own life that I've struggled with crippling depression and anxiety for years, wishing I could change the past or how people perceive me. I've come to learn that you have to live in the moment, life is a gift, the past is the past and you gotta ride the waves of whatever the future brings. I have found that constant appreciation keeps me afloat no matter the circumstances, and I've had to power through some very stressful and emotional situations in recent years that have changed me for the better. I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you've dealt with and the mistakes you've made. 10 years is devastating to an 18 year old. I'm only 27 right now, and it's taken me this long to begin to get my life on track - I still have a long way to go from wasted time, money, and emotions. Home invasions are devastating to families; but I also empathize with you because I was making huge mistakes when I was younger. I can tell you have a very kind heart and spoke nothing but truth throughout this whole video. I think the sentencing was too harsh but you've served your time - you are a wonderful person and I love that you have such an awesome attitude given all the hardships you have been through. I know I'm some random commenter, but message me anytime if you need someone to talk to. You seem like a great dude and I appreciate both your person and your content. I've definitely subscribed after watching this. Keep on making videos and living life dude.

Thank you so much for sharing. I try to live every day as far away from that old me as possible. Helping here on KZbin and other places. I think that as long as we try to grow from past mistakes, we have no choice but to be better people. I truly appreciate you opening up like that. It means alot.

I was looking for a Panasonic G7 stabilization video and I came across your channel. Anyway, this video title called my attention and I decided to watch it. It's inspiring to watch your testimony. I haven't been through this rough a patch in my life, but I've been discouraged with the trials I've had to go through, so listening to your life experience gives me the strength to keep fighting. May God bless you! I hope you're doing well. Remember that Jesus is our only way to salvation.

Dang, I was just passing by doing some research for cameras... And I thought Id look at some more of your vids... I am truly inspired by your story and I respect a guy who learns from his mistakes, and it's truly amazing to see you making an effort to produce positivity with this channel. I'm at the point in my life where I'm still pondering what I want to be and what I want to do. But this really inspires me that we all have the opportunity to make the best out of ourselves and be what we want to become. Truly inspiring story man, keep reaching for the stars bro.
