The work of Gowdy on Superorganisms explains a lot of intrinsic behaviors and logic… also Nate Hagens at post-carbon digs into the forces compelling us … and to keep in mind that like neurolinguistic re-programming, how even knowing these mechanisms doesn’t mean we are not affected by them, affecting us on deeper than conscious awareness.

Hi Kirby. Documentation quality was as usual amazing but 7 and a half minutes in seeing the third self advertisement was just annoying. I bought the series and want to join on patreon too but not if all the future content is going to be filled with equally annoying distractions; it's not a meme I want to support. Hope you understand. It should be noted that scientifically speaking, what "we" have are hypotheses not theories.... Theories are only arrived at once evidence has been examined and plausible explanations developed. Until then, these are just hypotheses. But pretty much everyone uses this word in the more common way you are here, so there's that and i don't blame you for it.... But we should still try to be clear about this as much as we can. Either way, I like what you're getting at with the systems thing. It's true that this has way more pull into how we think and act than any individual. But that's also not to say powerful people don't use their immense influence to uphold systems that benefit them disproportionately. Cheers

@pavelow235 do any of us KNOW the absolute truth? Is that even possible? I think we've evolved to see anything BUT the truth.... Instead, we see what works within our perceptual bubble. Even locality and space- time are now being shown to be insufficient. This doesn't mean truth doesn't exist, but our ability as finite beings will always fail to see the ABSOLUTE reality... We can only at best improve our understanding to a partial piece of the whole
