A trigger is essentially something that sets somebody off very negatively and or forces them to relive something particularly unfavorable. Like for some people "Rape jokes" are heavy triggers because they've been victims of sexual assault. So when used like a rational person, a "trigger" has a legitimate meaning, but SJWs (or just People who abuse the feminist movement) misuse it and apply it to stupid shit like the joke-parody comment before you...but like, if they were serious and in real life.
