For those of you who want to sing along: The world it needs an anthem For all of women kind A song to fight, a song to right, the wrongs of all of time So we put pen to paper And wrote all through the night A gorgeous ode to feminism well within our sights But this is pretty nuanced stuff And putting it all in one song was tough And that’s why This is not a feminist song We tried real hard but it took too long This is not a feminist song Cause’ we were scared we would do it wrong We know women need an anthem A song to call their own But we didn’t write that anthem we went home Every woman has a struggle And every struggles real But just try to write a song that captures every women’s deal So instead of writing lyrics Here’s us running in the sand And here’s a bunch of lens flares and an old woman’s hands Not to call a woman old Or judge a woman’s hands We know a woman shouldn’t be reduced to just her hands We stepped right into that trap It’s so hard to navigate this crap And that’s why This is not a feminist song So technically it can’t be wrong This is not a feminist song I feel like we’ve been singing so long Our ancestors they fought for us so they deserve a song But this is not that song so move along Now here’s some powerful footage for a song we did not write It’s Malala, Maya Angelou, and Madeline Albright And RBG she taught me that women can be strong And that women have the right to choose to bail on this whole song Ohhhhh yeah And that’s why This is not a feminist song We’re just women singing a song But doesn’t that make it a feminist song? I guess this was feminist all along This is a feminist song Tweet and hashtag #feministsong Where are the men in this feminist song? An excellent point now move along Cause’ now it’s time for you at home to weigh in on this song And tell us if we handled it all wrong It’s a tough and tricky land mine of a song Sorry for any errors in these 🙃

I didn't realize how strong women could be until I saw my Mom become a single mother of 6, getting breast cancer, surviving cancer, and never forgetting to put us first. I don't know how you can get stronger than the LOVE that women can show.
@nostanater18 жыл бұрын
+MadewithSoyy How is getting breast cancer a strength? And even if you're talking physical strength, women still only have 66% of what men do. (on average) Nothing you used as an example was actually strength. If you're talking about survival, the top 10 most dangerous jobs are more than 90% male. You might as well call the ability to pay attention at the movie theater a strength.
@lisajacob90088 жыл бұрын
+nostanater1 Getting cancer is not a sign of strength but surviving it is. You are a naive and disrespectful person from what your rude comment reveals. Strength goes beyond physical strength, but you obviously can not see that. If you would like to discuss the physical aspect of strength then look at the fact that this woman probably (assuming they are not adopted) gave birth to 6 children, that is true physical strength. You try pushing a watermelon sized child out of a quarter size hole, surviving something as awful as cancer and then try saying that the mother of this person isn't strong.
@nostanater18 жыл бұрын
Lisa Jacob Hiding behind the third definition of a word is rather deceitful, no? Its like calling someone a faggot and then saying you meant a bundle of sticks. Completing a feat you are naturally designed to do isn't strength, and besides, the birthing itself wasn't even listed as a strength by the OP. I can't give birth because I neither have a womb, nor a vagina. Its not because i'm too weak. tl;dr Definitional retreat You also can't ignore all the women who have died in child birth. (failing to do what they are naturally supposed to do) Huge amounts of women would die in the process, until that number was made relatively minuscule by the technology invented by men. You could just as easily say, "look how strong men can be!" using Arnold Schwarzenegger as an example. tl;dr survivorship bias Unfortunately for you, one can't rationally say another's opinion on surviving cancer or giving birth isn't legitimate simply because they haven't experienced it. Just like you don't have to be a woman to say in a argumentatively legitimate manner that feminism isn't relevant, or black to say that there is no current "systematic oppression" of colored people. tl;dr Appeal to accomplishment Your move.

The world, it needs an anthem For all of womankind The song to fight, the song to right The wrongs of all of time So we put pen to paper And wrote all through the night A gorgeous ode to feminism Well within our sights [Pre-Chorus 1: Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant] But this is pretty nuanced stuff And putting it all in one song was tough And that's why... [Chorus 1: All Women] This is not a feminist song We tried real hard, but it took too long This is not a feminist song Cause we were scared we would do it wrong We know women need an anthem A song to call their own But we didn't write that anthem We went home [Verse 2: Cecily Strong & Ariana Grande] Every woman has a struggle And every struggle's real But just try and write a song that captures Every woman's deal So instead of writing lyrics Here's us running in the sand And here's a bunch of lens flares And an old woman's hands [Kate McKinnon & Leslie Jones] Not to call a woman old Or judge a woman's hands We know a woman shouldn't be Reduced to just her hands [Pre-Chorus 2: Kate McKinnon and Ariana Grande] We stepped right into that trap It's so hard to navigate this crap And that's why... [Chorus 2: All Women] This is not a feminist song So technically it can't be wrong This is not a feminist song I feel like we've been singing so long Our ancestors, they fought for us So they deserve a song But this is not that song So move along [Bridge: Aidy Bryant & Sasheer Zamata] Now here's some powerful footage For a song we did not write It's Malala, Maya Angelou And Madeleine Albright [Kate McKinnon & Ariana Grande] And RBG, she taught me That women can be strong And that women have the right to choose To bail on this whole song, oh, yeah [All Women] And that's why This is not a feminist song We're just women singing a song But doesn't that make it a feminist song? I guess this was feminist all along [Chorus 3: All Women (Beck Bennett)] This is a feminist song Tweet it, hashtag #FEMINISTSONG [Male Cameo] Where are the men in this feminist song? [Chrous 3: All Women] An excellent point, now move along. Cause now it's time for you at home to weigh in on this song And tell us if we handled it all wrong This is a tough and tricky landmine of a song.

DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY GENDER??????? TRIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEREDDDDDDDDD
@ravensalvadore77238 жыл бұрын
Okay, seriously? What the fuck is with the whole 'trigger' thing? It's being used way too often, for stupid reasons. Is it some weird gaming reference I don't know about?
@TheKtwStudios8 жыл бұрын
A trigger is essentially something that sets somebody off very negatively and or forces them to relive something particularly unfavorable. Like for some people "Rape jokes" are heavy triggers because they've been victims of sexual assault. So when used like a rational person, a "trigger" has a legitimate meaning, but SJWs (or just People who abuse the feminist movement) misuse it and apply it to stupid shit like the joke-parody comment before you...but like, if they were serious and in real life. Does that make sense at all?
@alextouzet8 жыл бұрын
Triggers are very serious things that have been abused by both the extreme left and extreme right. SJW's think everything is a trigger. Edgelords make fun of the word trigger. Basically both sides misuse the word, and it just pisses me off because it's really not something to joke about
@AlannaSkye18 жыл бұрын
