Just be careful about potrntionally finding Kiton Men EDT cheaply, 9/10- no, 10/10 times it is a scam, i have been scammed so many times- I don’t mean to sound preachy, but always email whoever is selling it and really make sure it’s the real deal- Kiton has released a whole line of EDPs and they are awesome! Not cheap, but so worth it! Again, I think you’ll find oh so many similarities with Dior Farenheit EDP (fahrenheit is sweeter once it settles-and I love it for that, but Kiton does not settle like that) Amouage Portrayal and automatically Merchant of Venice La Fenice pour Homme- are very similar; Kiton also has that multilayer aspect to it- it’s powdery (violet), kinda smoky, but zangy and spicy, and Kiton MEN EDT has that 80s-90s sexy fougère, sexy barber shop (juuust a bit), zesty quality to it… it’s beyond superb!

There is a violet note in L'art de la Guerre by Jovoy Paris. I hated the bitterness of the fragrance when I first tried the sample two years ago. Found the sample and tried again recently. Now I'm really into it. It's a good fugere style and super versatile. Cheers!

Its funny how your experience with Portrayal is almost exactly the same as mine. It’s also the perfect name for this fragrance. And Fahrenheit was literally the first fragrance I wore in my life … occasionally “borrowed” from my dad in the early 1990s when I was still a teenager. Great vid again 🐏.

Yes Jubilation 25 is reformulated. The new version with the writing in front of the bottle is brutally watered down. I had a 3x10ml and it was A LOT more thick,sweet and balsamic smelling. It was a very bad surprise to buy my favorite fragrance and to get concentration weaker than eau de cologne. Also the prices are increased and they don't have the 50ml bottle anymore. I'm finished with this house and the expensive "niche" fragrances. Good old Joop smells 100 times stronger.

You know I hate to say you are right but I fear you are right my friend... i havent smelled the new Jubilation XXV but what they did to that beautiful Gem of a perfume if true is an absolute sham... so glad I stocked up on old Amouage from back in the day 🤌🤌

I agree on the Amouage situation completely. It’s so sad where they are going with the new guy. Christopher Chong had personality and imagination in spades and that came through in his creative direction. The fish man is the antithesis of that sadly. I hope he proves me wrong. At least I still have lots of the back catalogue to get my hands on. 😊

I wanted to like Fahrenheit Absolute SO bad. Its interesting but at the same time pretty awful. Its legit a burnt grill, armpits (heavy cumin), violet in the mid, with a pleasant but boring flat linear sweet myrrh in the base and for the majority of its life (Zero violet in base). Pointless one to own if you like the Fahrenheit line and already own Dior Sauvage parfum 2012 (identical myrrh base). As much as I hate sweet modern scents- even I have to agree you want the parfum version not absolute. The dna would have been far more masterful by axing the nasty cumin and adding a gothic blood orange or something to the top (Or some type of dark fruit- pomegranate maybe). Smoky violet pomegranates and myrrh- hot! That and the base should have more smoky oud not just a boring flat sweet myrrh note. I could go on and on how horrible absolute is. It just feels incomplete and lazy.

I like the cumin! Well thats why this is a very subjective hobby... i would take the absolute over the parfum anyday of the week. But as you correctly pointed out I would take the original over them both sooo🤷‍♂️😂
