You need to cover the underside of the eaves. If the wind can hit the back of roofing sheets it will rip the tiny little screw heads through every time. If the wind is pressing the sheet against the framing you’re good. If you close up one end of the house and the wind blows in from the open end it will get out through the roof. The whole roof is at risk. Wind will win if it gets under the roofing.

Yes, the eaves (edges of the roof are missing) that right. Oh man hopefully he reads this! Also if the roof is not protected properly then it may risk the big glass windows as well...shit!

Bloody hell Rodrigo, im surprised your roof didnt go up like a sail !!! At least now you know how strong the winds can be and fix the roof problems NOW before you move in. Priority get more screws into those roof sheets and concentrate on covering the underside of roof, so the wind cant push the roof panels out. Hoping it didnt take anymore roof off and winds have quietened down now. Great job, keep going xxx

Great job as always!!!! When it comes to ordering the 3x sliding doors, make sure they have deep recesses “top and bottom” for the sliders or the they are designed for high winds…… I have known panels to pop out if the wind gets to be to much at Best Buy ones that you can retro fit a deeper strip of metal on both sides, to hold the panels in place….

When you get the house enclosed your roof won't take such a hit. Use more screws if it would help. Close up the door some how untill they come in. After you get the windows in on the side the wind blows in the most. It may help protect you some from the wind to do the other side. You may already know this but just incase. You work hard. I know it takes time & alot of money to build you house but it will take a beating until you get it enclosed. Saying your going to cry will not help sweetie. I will pray for you. You will get it done.

Great job. It's looking good. Little advice when putting windows in by yourself. Install a temporary board across the middle of the opening on the interior. This will prevent the window unit from falling through. Install 2-3 small 4" wood pieces with one screw (one each side/top). Once the unit is in place turn/twist the outer piece in front of window to hold the unit in place or to prevent unit from falling out while leveling/pluming window. Good luck! Love the sun rise shot!

Close the front and back of the house as quickly as possible...you have created a high-pressure zone INSIDE your house and with the right wind gust the top panels of your roof will blow off because of the pressure pushing outward. Welcome to the world of physics. Once all the windows and doors are installed be aware that when you open the sliding doors during the "windy" season the wind will blow through your house like a freight train. You´ll figure it out.

Rodrigo, for better weld quality. Take a cheap retract pen. unscrew it and drill out the tip end slightly larger than the welding rod. Slide it over the welding rod near the weld end and use two hands and steer with you steady hand with one finger around the pen tip near the weld. when you start a new rod, your hand is over a foot away, this way, you have steering control on the weld 2 inches away from weld.

Man you need to put the ply board down, do it for 2 reasons, 1 it will give you a decent floor to walk around on, 2 it will help reduce the amount of wind getting under the roof panels. And you need to cover the eves with board as well to prevent wind getting to the back of the roof panels and ripping them off, leaving holes where the screws were,

Have you considered adding some canals to your roof to collect rainwater? It looks like you have plenty of room in the back of the house to add several tanks and the height should not be a problem. Given the design of the house, you should be able to collect a substantial amount of rainwater.

Rodrigo, You don't need to cut out studs that are not vertically level. Your studs don't need to be perfectly plumb. As long as your floor is level and your walls are plumb, and your studs are about right, you will be ok. Those were not taking the load of the weight of the house. When you go to attach the walls, if the stud is not where you thought it was, you just try a little to the side and find the stud there. Your house is already level. You should probably use the aluminum studs. They would be cheaper than C channels you are using, and you don't have to weld everything. Those would not be load bearing walls, so you don't have to worry about the strength, but when the aluminum studs are stood vertically, they are strong enough in a wall. Don't make it harder and more expensive. Plus, running wires and plumbing through those C-channels is going to be so hard! Plus, think about how much extra weight you are adding to the framing of your house, which may not be engineered for that. Don't create extra work and headaches for yourself. Those windows will be so pretty! It was smart to wait for a better opportunity to put them in, though.

I would use an nsulated spray foam on the interior of the building so that it provides adherence and density and make sure that at the joins in mid section you use a moving adhesive between the panels .. when air can catch under the wind can be really damaging .. take this from a gal with an 1854 GRIST MILL with a very long salt box roof ..luv your channel kid

I adore you Rodrigo..but I’m going crazy watching you build this house. Floor needs to be finished then the wall and roof if you don’t have a strong base with the roof supported by the walls and roof trim attached to the walls you are gonna get more damaged to the roof panels. Putting the windows in now they could get broken as the support and strength of the walls is not there. Plus the movement due to the roof not being g finished either could make the windows break. I wish you all the luck.. and pray you don’t fall thru that unfinished floor and get hurt or your windows get all broken up.❤
